OLED is flexible so you can hide it like in the iphone X.

I thought notch was there to eliminate the bottom bezel (because bottom bezel is mostly there for the symmetrical look) bht it's not.
Now we'd think that bottom bezel still serves something good on purpose, but no. The fingerprint scanner is on the back, so the point of front bottom bezel is?
Might as well just have had it become a notch, too, so it will be symmetrical to the top notch. And for that, they could've put a speaker on it for a more immersive sound experience (it's about time mid rangers also get stereo quality speakers).

Everyone copies everyone since the people "seem" to ask for it. I still hope the notch will flop and no one will buy it, so fugly.

I sincerely hoped who ever started this tall screen madness never gets a a design job in any company ever. Top part of the android UI is used very very often. And it's harder then ever to reach it. Some of you may say, you can get a gesture to swipe down in the middle of the screen and pull down the pane - but you can't do that while in other apps. They should've kept it 16:9, shrink the bezzels and make the phones smaller. What they did instead is make the screen AND phone overall taller.
I am having hard time pulling it down one handed even on my Galaxy S7. Don't know what I am gonna do in the coming months when I am due for new phone. So many OEMs and only one single model that is somewhat ergonomic (XZ2 Compact).

😒kirin 659's poor gpu can't handle high graphics intensive games, a phone with that high price can't handle games & multitasking, don't think there will be a huge difference in camera between honor 9i,
They should have used sd 630,636 or a better kirin with better gpu

Nokia 7 Plus will be pricier, but not for much, and you get SD660, same memory setup, better build quality and better camera... and, to top it all off, it has no notch.

370euro??Way overpriced..almost the same as Mate 10 lite or Honor 7x but they are 100euro less.For this price Huawei got (way) better phones like Honor v10 and especially Mate 9,both superior in any way and look much better..

Ok,new huawei/honor device every day,but please change the SOC already(kirin 650/5/9,all the same)
Im owning honor 6x myself and yes i can say its oudated.Especeally the GPU.
