The 6 second mark where the lady with the red top is trying to take out a device from its case...i guess give us an idea of the size of the device.

Big screen + big resolution = more room, crisper image. I never thought the point of it wouldn't be obvious to anyone. You do have a choice not to get bigger screen with bigger resolution. Would you prefer 3.5 inch with 1280x720? Or are you suggesting that they should stick to 800x640 on 4.65 inch?

@joonius -WTF is Android UX? Android User Experience? You mean Android UI probably.
Another thing is about 4.65" screen with 720p. What`s the point of 720p if screen is bigger?

A phone is NOT made to be tweaked or at least so often.
It's made to phone, to be useful or even to entertain.
Samsung Galaxy S2 and this new one are far too big to be useful.
A phone is NOT made to have a new firmware each day or each week. For those who have fun in searching for a new firmware each day, it's ok but it is not the way a phone is in general. In conclusion, iOS is much more useful for professionals and Android is made for people who like to play 12 hours a day with it cause iPhone has much more good applications. Applications for fun and also for a more serious way. Android is just too complicated for developers and for people who just want a battery that last more than a day.
Samsung sells 5 millions of Galaxy S2 in 3 months while Apple sells 100 millions of its iPhone a year. There isn't even a battle between the two phones.

I broke my samsung galaxy s lcd 2 days ago. I decided to get samsung galaxy 2 (still pending) instead of having the sgs1 repaired. Anyways, having owned several phones of different brands I can honestly say I wouldn't want any other phone than SGS 2 at this point (coz SGS 1 was already G-R-E-A-T and just got better with the newer SGS 2!)
Regarding the OS war, the people close to me are either on BB or iPhone. And they are the kind that would like to get everything 'arranged' out of the box. I don't recommend Android to my mom, sister, or anyone I know who isn't 'tech inclined'. That being said, the maximum potential belongs to Android.
Simply put, tweak the best of the best and nothing comes on top except Android. Now I don't dislike the other OS, if Android never existed I would've used them (and I did for a time). Im not the most advanced user like the others are but I sure know some (my phone is rooted with custom rom/s)
Hard to take a step back when you have tried using the most advanced mobile technology to date. Samsung is king of Android. -- I don't know for how long but they rule right now. Peace.

AnonD-2731, 19 Aug 2011no you are a specs junkie. you go buy your iphone copy. i l... moreWay to go completely off topic. You were saying how bad the build quality the SGSII was while completely contradicting yourself with the Arc build quality argument and now you're arguing Arc received more attention than SGSII. While SGSII had 3 millons on preorder how many did Arc? While 3 million SGSII were sold in 55days how many Arcs?
I have an iTouch that I used before while using phones with inadequate.mp3 players. Now I'm happy to be independent of iTunes. I also prefer Android UX over iOS. I would not like to go back to those days. My copy of iPhone is better compared to the iPhone if you insist calling it that. I definitely will not be happy with aother Apple mobile device. You can't speak for me.
I like to stay up to date with the issues for the phone I own as I like to have the best user experience out of it. Nowhere were there any kind of build quality issues that were major. I am apparently more updated than you on Arc news and issues.
I'm not just a spec junky... But it looks like I choose better valued device as what you claim to be a better phone has less impressive specs and build quality problems.
Honestly, Arc is a great device but what you are arguing is absolutely nonsense.
You definitely need much more research before you start bashing other devices with baseless arguements.

AnonD-8088, 19 Aug 2011Can you remember anything about SAMSUNG TOCCO or, OMNIA...?... morerofl @ your comment. and you do get a lot of support from Nokia for your 5800. Soon there will be no support for your Symbian Nokia phones either, let alone the MeeGo phone which they abandoned before launching. Now that's support. I'm surprised i haven't seen the Apple boys around ? Probably following up Steve to see what lawsuits he has up his sleeve lately :)))

Imran, 19 Aug 2011I think its a bada phone. It does not make sense to launch ... morei9250 will not be Galaxy S2 sucessor. It seems to have better feautures yet S2 is 2011 flagship and S3 will replace it in 2012. However the market is evolving at such a pace and iphone 5 is expected soon therefore to stay competitive we are witnissing 720p 4.5 screens and higer clockspeeds of new models by Samsung, HTC etc. It could be though that we are looking at 2 "flagships" being launched by these companies every year!

AnonD-2731, 19 Aug 2011I did use it. specs are great but the phone sucks when it c... moreIf you've used it but still say it's not of good build quality then you clearly dont know what "build quality" means nor have you actually used the phone as you claim. If you havent read, the very phone you are fan of, the Arc, is in fact made of plastic and said to make creaky noises when its plastic body is sqeezed or twisted. Now, I haven't tested that myself, but if it's true then something like that is considered bad build quality. There isn't such issue with SGSII, there isn't a major build quality issues.
It seems to me that you are just a fan of "pretty design" phone rather than fan of build quality as you claim, or you're just going with what everyone is saying which is "all things platic is of bad quality" which is a ridiculous claim.
Also, ToucWiz is barely different from stock Android UX. If that's too hard for you go back to dumbphone.
