The device is heavy and hard to control with one hand, the UX is so clumsy and silly without the home button, I need much more movements and presses to do same things as before on older iphone. That new "home line" that just appears in the middle of the screen is idea that justifies condemning the inventor of this line for the worst torture in hell for eternity. And the notch is a separate issue, it's really hard on the eyes. When you use a phone with a notch you constantly have a feeling like you are missing something, or like you forgot to do something and you can't remember what was it. That constant annoying feeling is there 24/7. So please, the notch problem is not some whim, it is a real issue.

i think to remove notch from screen for big full screen is to have a single line of camera instead of circle. Hope it could be achieved

"Expect notches all around"
Well, I hope this won't be the case. I heard that Apple's gonna get rid of the notch, if not then it would bolster the position of ugly notches in the smartphone world. Thus, more copycats.

The notch bring less functionality, especially for a few pixels on either side of the iPhone X. There isn't even enough room for a battery percentage on the top. Plus apps have to be modified in order to use the notch. And to top it off Apple is FORCING it's developers to support the notch, and if your app does not support the iPhone X notch. Then your app will be rejected. Talk about dumb and controlling.

I hate so much seeing a notch device, its like all notch devices are illuminati, it would be useful if all no notch phones are 50% cheaper or more than the notch device, lol agree?

i have my iphone for more than 2 years already, coz i really like apples design . if all of their phones will have notch display, i have no choice but to buy a different phone. that notched is so damn annoying.

This is the reason why iSheep believe Apple is the best. Even LG was doing a notch display, The notch isn’t bad, but if Android OEMs are going to do it, they should do it right, with no chin bezel. The notch is there to eliminate bezels from every part of the phone except the top. Instead, Android OEMs are simply putting a notch and leaving the chin.

They increase glare, reduce visible area, hinder gestures that swipe in or out from the side, just an idiotic design. Most notches give you the full rectangular area of an 18.5:1 screen, plus some extra pixels at the 'horns'. I would prefer that some software not highlight the notch, just use the 18.5 rectangle for content, reserving the horns for controls, but it's not a deal breaker.
