I was hoping for the Lenovo S5 back (similar to the Mi A1 but 18:9), it's prettier, or better yet with non protuding camera, like the Mi 6.

One of the top features of MI A1 -"USB C", sure this'll be retained.
Would also be nice if they don't make it too narrow: ~80mm width is great & come with a 4000 mAh battery.

Goose, 26 Mar 2018The issue with this phone will be the small battery.The specifications are subject to change until the phone is released. Perhaps that battery is enough for a Surge S2 SoC, but in that case it is possible that the performance of the GPU is not up to the equivalent of Snapdragon or yes... Or it could end with a 4000 mAh battery. It is early to overtake and forecast nothing. Better wait until all the documentation is finished.

Don't get your hopes up on saying this will get 660 (because customs, and qualcomm made that chip exclusively for Chinese "High End" phones, so no global release. Mi Note 3 doesn't count), like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, this will get a 636 instead.

Vertical camera alignment is actually not related to the X. But seriously, why all oems suddenly use this alignment after X came out?
Thank God it is just chinese Phone. LG, Sony, Nokia, HTC, samsung and some others still have their own identity.
Fun fact: Nokia is always making camera placement centered, along with Nokia logo written vertically.

As a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X user, having a phone that you can (at leisure) swap between MIUI coupled with the xiaomi affordability trademark and Android one gurantee is a welcome development.

If they had their own camera design, western people would not laugh at it as being a cheap iPhone china clone ripoff. I don't think like that about Xiaomi, but many will do because they don't see "ahh, a vertical dual camera with a flash in the middle and an aluminum back, this is most likely the Mi A2", normal people say "ahh, a vertical dual camera, this is the iPhon... no, this is not the iPhone X, it doesn't have a notch. What logo is that? is that someone pretending to have an iPhone X? d******"
