120mm, it was found by early phone makers too. No wonder Nokia 3210 was about that height when it got phones into the stratosphere..

I would say 130mm is the upper bound and 140mm is clearly phablet territory.

Then again people prefer phablets these days which is why you have much higher phones -in fact- being the norm. I don't think we'll return to the "phone era" ... people chose pocketable tablets and IMO it's the long sought win of tablets, which came from the back door...

BTW you may see a reemergence of phones in the future but that would require folding tech which is certanly several years, maybe even decades away from the mainstream...

If you don't want a big phone or a phabet then buy one that will fit in your hand. There is a lot of people out who don't mind a big screen phone, I for one. What if they were only making small screen? You would be happy but I wouldn't. There is a lot of small screen phones out there for you to be complaining.

Why everyone rush to make huge phones? Thre is no normal sized phones no more. 6.0 - 6.3 inches, if I want a tablet, I'll buy a tablet.
what is wrong with 5.5-5.8 inchers, for a single hand users?

                      Notch again.

                        What up with notch?

The caption is obviously misleading. Mi 7 ain't getting an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Maybe the Mi 7 plus or some futuristic Xiaomi device but certainly not Mi 7.
