23 August, 2011

well its like this , if its not broken dont fix it , Blackberry has a winning formula with the masses.
i got to be honest i like the styling of this handset very slick device that will sell in bulk .
blackberry have found a gap from day one with qwerty devices.
they work and take a good beating which can be more said than most of the touch devices out there at the moment.

im thinking of moving back to one A.S.A.P as my HTC does not really suit my life style.
Best of luck to you blackberry.

Getting bored with Blackberry, gonna buy myself an iphone 5 when it's available in the market. Still gonna keep my Bold 9870 though, since--like others have mentioned--BBM is still very popular here, one of the strong reasons why BB's sales is still going strong (It doesn't need to make sense, it's just what it is). Might retire my Galaxy Ace since it disappoints me on two things: battery life and the inability to play 720p video (at least from the videos I tried). Other than that, it's actually a decent android phone, too bad.

If they want to sell these units off faster, they should price it's for $99 with 3yr contract or even better at $0 for 3yr. With no contract, the phone shouldn't cost more than $300

Here in Latin America, bleckberry is one of the strongest cellphone brands, and just for one reason, the blackberry messenger, they don´t even care much about the specs, everyone has one, even the poor people, i dunno for sure, but it might be the top selling gadget in this part of the world, so RIM is going to live a lot longer, at least in this region.

RIM will be deminished to dirt not long as they do not have grasp that their phones are not hitting par even nokia a broken company surpasses RIM. all BB's are made very similar. low spec low rated and low performing usually all in one. BBM is their last leg. a leg that may not hold the weight. children don't stay young for long nor do their phones. so bye bye RIM. haha. :P

With th... moreWhat most of you people here do not know or understand is that Blackberry has a great marketshare and is still gaining on some fronts even though it seems to be losing. The Curve is targeted at secondary school age groups in terms of price and features. And guess what, Blackberry is the most popular phone in that age group.

The connectivity Blackberry offers is still considered as unique by the majority of the consumer market - the ping functionality is regarded as easier and more accessible (and better known) as WhatsApp or similar Text-Over-IP solutions and parents also really fancy the idea of not necessarily having the completely open internet connection but still allowing their kids to be able to message to anyone at anytime without having to worry about budget.

You're wearing eyepatches if you don't see this potential, RIM is not stupid and with the BB 9900 Touch they placed their Winning Team back in the higher segment of the market. You never change a Winning Team. Look how the Torch sold, it was disastrous, apart from the really poor Specsheet the *design simply didn't sell*.

Again, stop trying to think you're smarter than RIM - you're not :)

*yawn* It's always the exact same thing with slightly different specs. Now the Torch 9850 & 9860, those are the interesting BB's.
