I might buy this device if the following criteria is met:
1 - 6'' screen size (approx)
2 - Decent enough battery (around 80 hours endurance is good enough)
3 - Quality stereo speakers!
4 - Reasonably priced.
HTC, Do the following above and take my money!

I hope they fix the phonr lock thing. All HTCs are accessible even when in lock mode by swiping down the shortcut setting and changing modes. i.e. flight mode and that what my son always do. They have to learn that when phone is locked it means LOCKED. If not, bye bye HTC

More seriously, they'... moreJust like how they pioneered the metal unibody design and antenna band strips as part of the design of smartphones with the HTC One. Hmmm, no budget indeed.
Last time I was checking, HTC was first to use less megapixel but larger pixels for better low light images on smartphones.
The same way, their smartphones were one of the first to incorporate dual front-facing stereo speakers on smartphones.

When there's no notch: "HTC's going to die! This HTC U12+ will fail! I know it because I love Samsung/Apple! They won't even sell as much as my favorite brand! Samsung/Apple FTW!"

Too few details to form an opinion. Only the lack of audio jack and that the back is a copy of the old LG phones. We unknown the camera sensors, the battery, the speakers, the price, all.

One thing HTC should have done, is said "hey Google, in return for some staff, we want some of your camera algorithms". That would have been exactly what HTC needed to leap above some of the others.

Come on HTC 4000mA battery and wireless charging please. I assume there is no headphone jack, again. Thing is, what will the engineering stripping, by Google, have done for the productivity at HTC? I would assume they took a massive chunk of people, and likely some of the more capable people too.

I know what you guys are thinking. "But but, no headphone jack." I don't care. HTC's U-Sonic USB-C earphones are superior in every way. How come the trolls don't have anything to say about U-Sonic.
