I do not know whether they will board the same notch-train in future but till now they have done a remarkable job. The bezels are reduced in S9 and S9+ in comparison to the ones on S8 and S8+. It is so damn amazing. I wish I could get one of those but they are pricey so I will go for Nokia 7 Plus.
There were many Smartphones which embraced the smaller bezels like Samsung and everyone loved it.
Talking about everyone embracing the notch, well, everyone is doing it because they want to sell "iPhone X-esque" design at affordable price. That's why. Every other OEM is taking advantage of the fools.

    This all under £499 and it's sold.
