US unlocked Galaxy Note8 is now getting Oreo

I'm in UK, Is the fact that my note 8 dual sim no brand is imported from China related with the the absence of updates and still with the security patches of august 2017?

That's better than most manufacturers. We will also see Oreo around April 13. Even if Samsung launched the Note 8 on "very old" Nougat, it will still see OS updates until at least Android P. Same for the S8.

        And even if the Note 8 launched on Nougat, tell me one major feature it missed out on from Oreo.

        I'm also not sure what you mean by staggered updates, as Samsung updates all its phones during this time.

          ;) Samsung will deliberately stagger the update to the disadvantage of older devices.
          They will deliberately put 'very' old OS on originally launched device. Then when they launch a new device, which have very old OS again ... then maybe 8 months later they will give the previous device one update. From there on, the old device will be neglected. This is the cycle for Samsung flagship devices.

Already cherishing much better OS with much better features than boring stock .. lol !! .. u keep waiting for those samsung features for another 3-4 years to come to stock android and then u can cherish those while we would have been already tired of using those features .. lol !!

                                  I have stopped notifying them for this reason.

                                  By the way I have received Oreo on my N950U on Monday, however, mine is T-Mobile variant bought from Samsung.com.

                                        April 2nd 2018 received update for Oreo android 8 .Factory unlocked phone on Globe network . Full version now on my Samsung Note 8 duas .
