Anonymous, 06 Apr 2018*If you sell less than /others/ expect.No. You own a business, you sell shares, you are responsible to stock holders, you tell them how many you expect to sell. If you don't sell enough, your shares don't go up, your profit doesn't go up, etc. You buy parts from other suppliers, if they don't get enough orders they are at loss too. And people who sell your stuff, they order it, they can't sell it. If you sell more, great. But if you sell less, you're in trouble.

you are just a fanboy
the galaxy s9 plus is 800 dollars while the p20 pro is about 1100 dollars
second samsung has the most powerful android chipset while the p20 has a chip from last year also the screen of the s9 is the best screen on the market so you need to see a doctor to be cured from the fanboy disease

nick, 06 Apr 2018as per Apple forecast, 40M is very little, but I don't thin... moreIt's not a failure in the sense of sales as they are definitely selling well (especially for the higher price) but compared to expectations and as a way of Apple proving they can shift people to higher and higher priced phones? It didn't meet the demand they expected and is going to be hard to maintain that level I imagine, each year having to try and market a 'special' phone alongside there others is going to be nearly impossible. This time they managed it by starving the iphone 8 of real improvements and over charging for a design change which was long over due but how are they going to keep doing that? With the advent of the Iphone X are they going to keep releasing old looking phones? Are they going to pretend face ID isn't really needed or needs to pay a huge premium for it? Or is Apple going to innovate and be ahead of the curve over and over again? big laugh on the last one but seriously, the iphone X did sell below expectations and had to be cut back regularly, it's impressive they sold so many high priced phones but I do believe it's caused concern as to the viability of that model. Then again iphone fans are usually willing to pay stupid money for small upgrades so as long as they can have a 'best of the best' iphone then I don't doubt it'll sell enough regardless of it's merits.

ASIC miners. Bitmain surpassed nvidia in total profits. They mostly make those by creating ASIC miners, mine cryptocurrencies and then sell them dirt cheap, they are part of the reason that that market crashed.
GDDR is needed to mine "ASIC resistant" coins, the latest craze in the crypto-world (apparently they were not too resistant, Bitmain f****d them, in both price and functionality by attacking their networks).
Samsung is profiteering off a leech, who knew?

A nice lies. I dont need to read whole text.
Dunno how much Samsung paid to that company for their numbers they collected but when i see the prices of A8 and S9 they barely selling.
Huawei P20 pro comming with 10000000 times better flagship than Samsung in every aspect and cheaper thats the facts.
Samsung can close its business.

Marvin, 05 Apr 2018If you sell only 65% of you inventory, even if that 65% is ... moreOnly getting 65% of Apples own expected iPhone X sales would mean they would miss their guidance by a huge margin. Lets see if that happens...
But just like the expected numbers from analysts for last quarter I think this is complete BS. These analyst and unnamed people ”in the know” are way off in their expectations.
Apple on the other hand was spot on their expectations last quarter and I think they will be close this time too, because they usually do not miss their guidance by alot... but again time will tell.

Hmmm just 50%? I expected more. After all they are selling SDDR that did cost 3$ per GB for almost 10$ per GB that's the 7$they put in their pockets. All do Samsung didn't cause SRAM price hike they did a market research on time and ramped up production lowering the NAND production in favour of SRAM. Last year they cached up hard on NAND.

Haha, No there aren't :D You now the inventory is only few millions. If they see that phones aren't moving fast enough, they don't ship more, it's not like they just make 60 million X phones right away and hoping the best :)
