Most of their Honor phones are iphone ripoffs.
Their actual good phones the P series and Mate Series are all above 500$.
And can you deny that the recent p20 design is a complete ripoff of iphone X.

Contrad... moreIf you consider Huwei overpriced then you are blind. Just go and check their pricing you will find they are priced competitively with higher specs and high quality. Atlest $100 less in most cases. Just dont comment stupidly anything. You cant even call them clone unless you are next level crack. They have their own design methods for their phones even for their midrange.
You can only call others clone to justify moto and nokia high price tag for low grade specs. For which I have also invented a phrase like overpriced junk or bricks.
There are people who buy Samsung and Iphones no matter how overpriced - Agree

Contradictions.
Last time I saw they were trying to compete with Samsung And Apple in terms of pricing even though they are just another clone company.
I know Nokia and Motorola have had their bad periods btw now they are back.
And they are doing well obviously they can't compete in terms of pricing with Clones.
Anyways they have their own core support base and people will still buy them no matter what.
There are people who buy Samsung and Iphones no matter how overpriced they are same with Motorola and Nokia.

I dont have time to google to know what they invented. In that case you can google and find Xiaomi's inventions. I know motorola have invented phone and I respect it but apart from that they have done nothing significant specially in current generation. And Nokia alreday had its golden days in Symbian era. But now party is over for both after the arrival of chinese giants. Most of the features of todays smartphone are invented either by samsung or LG.
You should be ashamed to even compare a brand like Xiaomi and Huwei to Nokia and other overpriced junks.
Also I dont need to visit those links as I already stated Nokia has sold them by themselves for money. Xiaomi has their own patents as well in high numbers. They didnt bought 7000 patents from nokia and microsoft only.

Most of the features you know today in smartphone were developed by companies like Motorola and Nokia.
You should be ashamed to even compare a brand like Motorola and Nokia to Xiaomi and other Chinese clones.
Regarding what innovations Motorola and Nokia have done since the 1980's - 90s you can google them you will find everything easily.
If I list every innovation by Motorola and Nokia from 1980's-90s till today the comment will be very long.

And yet they started only few years ago. Also they are not just limited to mobiles. They are producing hoards of products from tv to laptop to purifier to robot to vaccum cleaners. Just google and search their portfolio of products.
Also every company assembles their phone by sourcing from different manufacturers like chips, ram from Samsung or TSMC or Foxxconn, display from samsung or Sharp or JD or camera from sony or samsung and like list goes on. So dont make this dumb statements.

All these Chinese clones that you are mentioning here pay royalties to them just to use their patents.
Erikson is one other Company that had lot of patents.
Can you tell what all parts do the clones you mention actually manufacture.
They just source parts from vendors and build it up and call it innovation.

Don'... moreIf Nokia and Motorola didn't have any innovations and patents why would have Xiaomi Run to them begging for help with their patents after the Ericson Dispute.
Because Xiaomi dosent have any patents of its own and it wanted to save itself.
Hence they agreed to pay millions of $ to Microsoft and Nokia for patent sharing deals.
If you would know it's because of Nokia and their patents that Xiaomi is today able to expand in Europe.
Otherwise by today they would be bankrupt by the no of lawsuits that would be put on them.
Google bought Motorola for 12.5 billion and sold them for 2.5 billion do you think google is some circus company.
Motorola has one of the highest patents concerned with smartphone.
Even today all those patents are shared with lenovo because of what was agreed at the time of the Google - Lenovo deal.
HMD does not have to invent anything they share their patents with Nokia Mobility HMD is just using the Nokia name for 10 years.
After that whatever happens will be seen then.
HMD has just leased the Nokia branding for 10 years they don't own the company.
