                After Bixby Button was widely criticized and everyone remapped the button, why would you copy it? Then again everyone hated the notch and you copied that too so...

                  LG should shut down its mobile division and just stick to making home appliances. Many of their phones are lackluster and still have their old problems like bootlooping. My co-workers LG G6 suffers from bootlooping (lol. good luck fixing that by removing the battery).

                      More dram means more power needed. 8 GB is very stupid design choice.

                          In my humble opinion at this point Nokia and Samsung can just go ahead and raise their prices, there's nothing to compete out there in the mid-range, at least not until we see what Motorola and Xiaomi put out. In terms of design and user experience the Nokia 7 PLUS and the A8+ seem to be the best so far this year. And given the fact you can get an S8 for under 500€ I don't see how this phone can compete.
                          As to the notch thing, I don't have a beef with it, if it's the only bezel on the phone (like the iphone), but if you're going to leave a 4mm chin bezel on your device, then why bother cutting out a notch, just leave the top bezel, it looks symmetrical and more aesthetically pleasing and it seems to work well for the above mentioned companies. Don't be a mindless drone copying (half-assed i might add) from an already unsuccessful product!
                          To be clear, the fact that I don't mind the notch doesn't mean I'm into it. I won't be buying a phone with a notch, not because I hate it, but because I'm an IT nerd, with nerdy friends and I couldn't take that thing out in public without getting buried under an avalanche of ridicule. I don't know about the world humans, but at least in my circle of friends the notch seems to have become somewhat of an apple-watch thing, it somehow has the magical ability to turn you into a wanna-be IT guru dushebag instantly in the eyes of everyone around you!

                                I was hoping for something just a little better than the V30 and this phone actually looks to be a downgrade. The notch is annoying but not a deal breaker. Unfortunately, 4gb of memory is. With this phone, the Huawei P20 Pro and Samsung S9+ taken off my want list, that only leaves the HTC U12 or Axon 8 as potential replacements for my 2 year old Axon 7.

                                    Considering how LG V devices follow the path of their respective LG G counterparts, I worry about the V40.
