AnonD-605278, 14 Apr 2018Lol are you Aquaman that needs your gadget underwater everytime? Here his/her concern is valid if the battery is sealed. It would be the equivalent of a repaired/opened waterproofed phone or old phones with sealed battery that are not waterproof.

To say something just regarding the price, it definitely sounds very good for those affordable prices.

I don't think we need 120fps.
I think we need better graphics quality.

Come back when people are willing to pay even remotely close to that figure, for a mobile game that is easy to pirate. AAA or even AA games cost a fortune to develop and releasing them on a platform with rampant piracy is too big of a risk, coupled with the fact that no one wants to pay more than $5 for a mobile game.

As for a gaming phone, it doesn't pack quite a punch. Lack of SD Card along with a typical 4000 mAh battery, despite the phone looking bulky enough to fit more than 4000 mAh capacity battery kills it for me. I know it's quite slim at 9.3mm but still it looks huge to accommodate more than 4000 mAh battery. 18:9 Ratio is another issue for a gaming phone. Older games might not be be compatible with this screen aspect ratio. The price looks good and other than that, there's nothing I'm excited about.. The Sony Xperia Play was the best gaming Android phone ever done and was just ahead of its time. In 2018, a successor to Sony Xperia Play would kill this if done right. I enjoy gaming but gaming with haptic feedback is more fun, that's why a gaming phone for me must have inbuilt hardware buttons like Sony Xperia Play has. A good attempt by Black Shark/Xiaomi. The cooling solution looks promising and bezels are fine as it's a gaming phone. Maybe we can expect more battery on its successor.

I thought with that back design, the phone will be bulky.
but it's quite thin, respect

"Best possible specs@cheap price" is the key word here. This will start a trend of gaming smartphones. Soon developers will create console to games.

Gaming smartphone? But where are the games?. Developers develop games for work with majority of devices. There is no high end console quality games available for android. This phone has simply a cooling system and nothing else, with the current gen processors heat dissipation is less. You can see that most games are optimised to work with Samsung s series and note and pixel devices and these games don't produce much heat or hang the phone.

Nice gaming phone with latest chipset, jumbo ram, beautiful design and finally affordable price. The only minus point is no headphones jack, no oled screen and no micro sd slot. Hope this black shark available soon and gsm arena review its performance asap...

AnonD-744321, 14 Apr 2018not really
more pixel decreases the GPU proformence
QHD+ ... moreIt's 18:9, that's why it has FHD+, it just a regular FHD but with extra pixel on the extra 2 step ratio from standard 16:9, we call it FHD+ just for the sake of differentiation from the standardize pixel count in 16:9 and not to indicate extra pixel(this just a thing in phone, ultra wide monitor rarely indicate the '+' but the extra pixel is still there for the extra ratio)
Because the ppi is still the same actually, so QHD will be called QHD+ on 18:9 and UHD will be called as UHD+ for 18:9, they can't just strecth out 1080x1920 on 18:9 display otherwise it will messed up the scaling and stretch out the viewed content
