Google Home vs Amazon Echo India focus comparison

Very honest review, resonates with my thoughts on purchasing my Echo dot (I bought it on inaugural offer at 3,150 with 1 year prime subscription free) and our idea was to replace the TV (not exactly, but with new kid's arrival we are intentionally reducing TV usage) and this one is good to throw some music in day with my existing speakers in 3.5 mm conn, also it has been fun with some skills and games and booking a uber and ola, checking PNR etc, It is not smart as Google but I am a little wary of letting the all-know-google, rather happy to speak with 'dumb' Alexa, hmm well not really, it does a decent job most times. I particularly liked your last part, should you buy it at all - and reasons with it, well said!!

    Excellent, balance and practical review.

      Mu first impression on the audio. There’s day and night difference between echo and mini. The mini sounds great with good lows while the echo sounds plain shit theres absolutely no comparison. So, whoever reviewed the echo to be better than the mini is out of his mind!

        How to get Echo Plus link with my Fire TV Stick... I dont see "Music,Video and Books" whereas i am able to see only "Music & Books"

            in audio/sound - new echo is better than home, (dont have mini or dot, so dont know about them), keep both of those side by side and play different genre's. i am sure you will agree with me.

            in services in india - at this time, echo is better than home. maybe in future home might be better but right now it can't do a lot.

            in recognizing songs commands - both really suck... its true many times both just play something totally unrelated, it will not matter even if that song is in your library.

            to others,
            if you are in smart home shit, go ahead buy any...
            if you want sound as well, go for bigger ones..
            if you aren't in smart home shit or only want speakers, don't buy these and look for other options...
            if you still want to try, buy mini or dot...

              Damn, that's one pathetic biased comparison. First of all, if you are having trouble with assistants playing songs over voice commands, the issue is with you, not with Google Home or Amazon Echo.
              I do it daily, and they recognise and play the songs absolutely fine all the time. I don't know what the hell you are doing and what you are doing but whatever it is, it is not right.
              As for audio quality, Google Home simply trumps Amazon Echo, no matter what. There is not even a comparison. Echo is just absolutely trash. Infact even in Home mini Vs Echo dot, Home mini trumps Echo dot. The obvious bias of yours is quite apparent in this comparison.
              Not only i own both these, i have seen dozens of comparisons on YouTube from renowned youtubers. Everyone says Google Home, Home mini and Home Max just trump Amazon Echo ones in Audio Quality and Echos are trash !
              And i don't know where did this thing of Echo sounding more natural than Home came from. That is 100% incorrect. Google Home sounds way more natural while Alexa is much more robotic.

              PS - I am also from India and whoever did this comparison has done a pathetic and misleading job, full of bias.

                Lengthy but great review! I received a couple of Minis yesterday & a couple of Echoes are arriving today. Will leave my review after probably a month as it would be too quick to leave a fair review. Enjoying the Minis so far, however. Still exploring..

                  Excellent comparison. I am forced to read the total writing and not able to skip any word. But the question remain "Which one to buy?" or "Should i buy one?".
