A company teams up with another company to bring you something which you could have yourself and will probably be significantly cheaper than forking out cash for cosplay...well, enjoy I guess?

My point was that superhero movies are for 10 year old kids. They ruin the sci-fi out of it..
If DC is related to comics, I'm not interested. Not my cup of tea, even if I saw a LOT of sci-fi.

Not to mention that they all are taken from comic books made for kids and teenagers.
What did you expect from blockbusters made for that audience?
Its like complain that Winnie the Pooh is too colorful and unrealistic...
Also as far as Im big fan of Alien series(mostly older comics and games, not that modern craq) and StarTrek(only DeepSpaceNine series) We still have guys in spandex with weird skin colors...
As for "HBO and Hollywood are slowly dying".... You are so far from reality that you have bigger chances to reach sun than truth. And truth is that HBO is still one of biggest tv producers that not only create content by it self but also, support creating content for internet audience... As for Hollywood... Hollywood is not just one thing, its not just place in LA. its whole industry that maybe you didnt notice, still hold big chunk of movie industry, and it actually evolve all the time to reach modern audience.
Just because you see, or rather want to see bad movies, it doesnt meant hat they make just those type of movies, there is many brilliant and innovative movies and actors, but instead of supporting them people like you focus on blockbusters instead of actually looking around to watch good movies.

As much as I love sci-fi movies, I don't like superhero movies at all.. They are silly and childish.
What's so cool about green lantern or hulk? A guy in green spandex with a ring?? Hahaha! Maybe for a 10 year old they are ok, but for an adult they are pure junk.
In my opinion nothing beats the Aliens series or Star Trek.
The avengers series seems to me like Hollywood ran out of ideas and they're struggling to make profit.
I for one stopped going to the movies out of comfort and barely turn on my TV. Nowadays everyone is using the internet.
HBO and Hollywood are slowly dying and are being replaced with Netflix and other websites that are faaaar better.
