I don't think samy will go for a notch after the advertisement they made to mock Apple. + Samy stick to the things others are being dropping e.g. headphone jack and sd card

As always, lately, late to the party.
There is a reason that fewer and fewer buy Samsung flagships. Nobody likes extremely conservative companies that don't change up.
First to market edged display (back in 2014) ... stuck there pretty much. Still top and bottom bezel, weak specs...
*Finally* they seem to get on with the times...

It's going to be a sad day if Samsung really launches a phone with a notched design. Their design language perfection right now, so there's hardly a reason for the notch to exist.

The full screen patent is a welcome, but not the notch. SAMSUNG followed by Sony, Google, HTC are the only few left without notch on their high-end flagships, excluded LG because they might unveil the LG G7 ThinQ with a notch. Don't see a key benefit of a notch till now to be honest, it looks good on some smartphones like the Essential PH-1, but for entertainment and game usage, it is a nuisance, gladly it is 18:9, and not 16:9 with a notch, that will be worse

Smungsung is smart enough so far not ro follow this ugliest, pointless design!
Personal preference of course but i don't mind little bezel on top and I definitely don't need selfish camera...

As long as they keep that plague of a notch as far away from the note series as possible, i really couldn't care less.

Can imagine not-a-notch full screened version to be in next S10/SX only in bigger + variant. But its great to set trend to move on away from a notch at least for pricy flagships.

Proximity, earpiece, and front camera...
No iris scanner ? So it would not be for the S or Note series...
If anything, my bet is on a entry range phone for China only
