Razer Phone gets Android 8.1 Oreo update and becomes available at Best Buy

    Not bashing them. Getting an update out (hopefully without issues) on time is impressive, but just pointing out one small detail to those praising the feat.

    They have ONE phone model to update with no carrier interference. Samsung has several carrier locked and 2 carrier unlocked for all of their flagships, 2 different SoC's, and all the mid range phones to update. Plus distributing that volume of updates to the end users... and I'd bet they sold more phones in the last 4 hours than Razer has EVER. Lovely logistics nightmare to juggle.

    But I have to give Razer credit for doing one thing, and doing it well.

        Razer is not included as they are new in this business and small in scale, but it'll worth test each one after updates. No OEM is free of suspicion now. Xiaomi es well known to be slow updating the Android version, but at least is ok in the security ones.

            The name of Microsoft is not familiar with public anymore as people know Windows more than the creator of it.

            Being unfamiliar with a brand, result in "One of the main" Microsoft Mobile failure.

            Selling S8/S8+, Note8, S9/S9+ and Razer Phone which are powerful enough to hide weaknesses and show the launcher fast and smooth.

            Gradually people will test Microsoft Launcher and many will keep it as their launcher, instead of others.

            It is good reputation for Microsoft to turn back on track, "In Some Way"
