did they say water "resistance" ?
BULL$HIT almost (if not ALL) high quality phones have it
the 5T had it by accident they only difference is that they add the fancy IP logo ;$)
if water reached the USB or mm3.5 or the speakers the thing is dead XP
it MOST have at LEAST IPx5 to consider it as water resistant
btw if this phone had water resistant the the R15 could have it (MAYBE)

The funniest thing will read the forums when complains arrive there because their phones die in the water a no ones can make the warranty effective against water.

Well it should cost up to 500 like mode 5.
And a true waterproof phone is like a submarine it cant stand indifinetely in water for endless time. And even in such deeps as Marrianas trench.
Then the phone wuill surely be water proof.
But theses phones are just water resisntant.
Like Samsung or sony models.
If your phone have a bad day it will drown no matter what and immediately when comes fully contact with water.

It's such a basic feature that not having it in the last few years is a complete and utter shame. Who would buy a non-waterproof phone in 2018 anyway? Except those who don't leave their basement of course.

sapphire glsss was meant to be uesd to protect against scratchs since it scores 9 at mose's hardness meter right blow 10 in diamond
to make it shutter proof you need to choose:-
a then flaxable class (Motorolas shutter shield plastic glass)
a thick scratch proof panel (CAT S60 heavy gorilla glass 4 or thick sapphire panel)
NOTE:- plastic isn't scratch proof BUT highly shutter proof
NOTE:- sapphire is EXTREMELY farglie so if it cracks it will shutter to tiny fragments (Explode) due to the small space between the atoms
NOTE:- sapphire is Atomicly lighter than glass so it can be made thicker without increasing the wight (but plastic is MUCH lighter)

yes OPPO R15 is a premium midranger it should have IPxx
no because this why there will be no difference between them (except the logo)
1+ should do something new to there phones not just adding a new SoC or remove a features from the cheaper virson

I believe the only manufacturer who attempted such glass on their phones was HTC in their U Ultra Sapphire edition. The glass on it will only shatter if you really go for it with a hammer!
