I didn't wait for this phone. I didn't look for this phone. I had no expectations about this phone. I'm still disappointed. That's trademark LG for you.

peachy001, 18 Apr 2018Power button, notch, both minor for me. The battery size is... moreI get 7-8 hours screen on time with my lgv30, no power saving techniques, my s8 would struggle to get 5 hours screen on time with the same usage so I wouldn't worry too much about lgs battery life

crazyboys.tp, 18 Apr 2018No to LG mobiles forever. They may provide the best feature... moreWhile I completely agree with you on this Fact, there MIGHT be hope as LG has announced it is opening an Update Center to administer Updates over the air to their devices Internationally. IF indeed this becomes a reality, I will again start to consider LG. I have a V20, but as you stated I deplore the fact that they only supported it (in terms of Security Patch updates) for 6 months. My V20 is stuck at May 1, 2017 SPL. I also dislike the battery life even though it is a removable battery it lasts 50-60% as long as my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (which is older than my V20). Finally, they must concentrate on a vastly improved Selfie Cam. If all of these items are addressed in the next V-Series LG (LG-V40?) I will look at buying it. I love the Quad DAC as the sound easily bests any other smartphone on the market using wired cans.

They're still going to release that? Why bother releasing at this point? I don't think I've read 1 good comment about it. Are they trying to lose money? This has bad release written all over it. They can't be that daft, can they? Just scrap it and come back in November with a dual release V40 and G7 make it a special event make G7 5.7 inch the V40 6.1 inch and give them some defining geatures and see how it goes.

crazyboys.tp, 18 Apr 2018No to LG mobiles forever. They may provide the best feature... moreThis is true. After buying the LG G4 Beat (never saw Android Nougat), LG Stylus 3 (still on Android7.0), and LG Q6 (7.1.1 w/ Dec 2017 security patch), I am never gonna buy another LG smartphone. From now on, NOKIA will be my go-to device since they offer the latest updates ASAP with their Android One implementation.

Goodbye LG and your non-updated devices.

No to LG mobiles forever. They may provide the best features or the best hardware, but their software update service is the worst in the market.

                    A G6 with $50 updated SoC + $25 notch + $75 ThinQ and a new button = $750 - $800

Power button, notch, both minor for me. The battery size is a balmy choice though. What were they thinking. The only area that Samsung routinely fails on. Competitors should leverage that, if they can't beat it elsewhere. And most can't.
