Dior Phone Touch is a droid for the fashion conscious

29 August, 2011
The smartphone combines elegant craftsmanship, commendable spec sheet, and a steep high price tag.

Not really that nice to look at and they could of made more of an effort in the design.

You can buy the phone through the Christian Dior Boutique network.
It's not limited to 99 pieces, there are many colours and finishes including mother of pearl and diamonds! It is a Smartohone but not Android platform. It does feature applications like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google maps etc.

no nokia, 30 Aug 2011@meego revolution Really? nokia made vertu i simply had ... moreNo, by no means did I mean by that, that Vertu were good phones. They usually suck and just use Talk, no text or data. Now the materials in the Vertu line are top notch, using real diamond, Space Shuttle Heat Treated Mateial, Titanium, etc.

And pretty much expected the whole shenanigan from the start with Nokia and the N9 which is one reason Nokia isn't my #1 company anymore. LG, Intel are just a few that I like better than Nokia now for obvious reasons. I just want LG to release that GW990 or Intel to release some of their Moorestown devices which all run Meego.

                        @meego revolution

Really? nokia made vertu i simply had no idea..... dude although nokia do OWN vertu they in no way use the same nokia base for their own phones. Although some of them may have been made with nokia materials or parts they are still their own indepentant company that happens to be owned by nokia.

Its like saying that because Google now own half of motorola that they will all of a sudden become good phones but it just doesnt work like that. Oh and by the way have you realised that nokia has all but ditched the N9 in favor of pushing their mango running devices? not notch nokia, top notch.

This is a reworked LG GD880 Mini!!!!!
I know, because I have (and use) the GD880.
Same specs (except for android OS)...
                          3.2", 480x856, 5MP, 900 mAh battery, etc.
They may have changed the CPU (to make it more powerful...capable of Android), but for the most part it is identical.
The dimensions and weight are a little bigger...probably to account for the different case/cover.
By the way...even the buttons look to be where they should be.
I always thought the GD880 Mini was a great phone.
One that could be an iPhone competitor...if it actually had a decent CPU and was an actual smartphone (instead of a feature phone).
Maybe now, it can actually be that.

The same people can buy this that buy Vertu Phones especially the Vertu Python for $500,000+. And guess who owns Vertu, Thats right Nokia.

Now I'm loving the back cover and the no buttons on the front (nokia N9-ish). This should be a 4 inch device. The specs arent bad but for the price they are. Overall, I like the design of this phone minus the typical Black Rectangleness.
