Thanks that you have tested it with Nokia 7 Plus, as I am planning to use it in that phone, even if you think no one would use in that phone. :) And really a good news that it works with that combination, as Nokia official specification mentions "up to 256 GB" only. I guess that time when they wrote, only 256 GB cards were available.

I'm gonna use this for my tablet PC as a storage for regular Office and video files. My previous card, the Extreme PRO was excellent, but low in capacity.

I use the card for storage. It is quite good for the purpose.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2018End to end encryption cloud storage is much better than SD cardsCloud storage is NOT, and will never be better than local storage. The mere exposure of your personal data online, all of the time results to much greater/higher probabilities you get your data hacked. The probability of someone stealing your information from your encrypted micro sd if you lose it is practically nil. The online hacker community is more numerous and several magnitudes more skillful at hacking than your local petty micro sd card thief.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2018End to end encryption cloud storage is much better than SD cardsCloud storage has its uses but it definitely is NOT faster, NOT more secure, NOT more convenient/flexible and definitely NOT more cost effective than local sd card storage. Who says you can't encrypt micro sd cards? Besides, between losing your encrypted micro sd card vs. getting your cloud storage data hacked, I choose the former every time.

AnonD-51450, 24 Apr 2018You are right, but aside from exFAT's limitations, SDXC has... moreThat's kind of irrelevant. The SDXC "limit" is a similar soft limit to the listed 256GB limit phone manufacturers lists. The "limit" simply exists as the consortium uses a fixed cluster size on their compatibility check. Android doesn't really care if your card doesn't comply to that limit. SDHC has an official limit of 32GB. Yet, you're extremely unlikely to have any problems formatting something like a 128 GB card to FAT and make it work on a SDHC card-only device.

Sandisk should already come up with 1TB and 2TB micro sd cards. It's about time so that my entire laptop/desktop PC contents will fit in my phone's sd card.

It's probably regularly scanning your card doing some storage optimization analysis. You should disable it if so.

AnonD-742973, 24 Apr 2018That's the thing - when I put old SD card back the battery ... moreI don't notice any battery life difference in mine between a 32GB micro sd card vs. a 200GB micro sd card. The cards are used to store media and personal files only (not as adoptable storage). If there is any difference in screen on time, it's not significant and has more to do how often I'm using data than how often I'm accessing the sd card. I've got McAfee installed and it doesn't scan media files at all.

It was hard to find information about what NAND technology does the LG V20 has. Most websites just said SK Hynix 3D NAND, and no words about MLC or TLC.

According to this article, LG V20's storage is MLC 3D NAND, which is good news.

It's like overall power consumpion is higher with bigger capacity card. It might however have something to do with Android scanning all the folders and files on the card in background - I admit that 200GB card has approx 3x more movies/photos than 64GB one, so if there's some media scanner in background, then it has lot more to do on a bigger card. On the other hand - it shouldn't run all the time once the card is fully scanned?
