I hope Xiaomi keep pushed with budget price so other manufacturers join them to low the price tag... Eventually the winner will be us when the price is achieved by our budget... Accept reality of life money its anything...logically why you wanna spent more for buying expensive Smartphone when there's a budget phone with same specs and build quality... Good job Xiaomi and keep showing who the bos... Byebye Samsung

Xiaomi didn't had any competition in india for Q1.

Only Honor was there but with only one model.

Lenovo was direct competitor, but now there is no phone after last July.

Samsung didn't had any major launchings in budget segment.

Moto G & E also not launched yet.

    Xiaomi can continue enjoy sales.

Oppo n vivo are focusing on upper midrange class

Zenfone Max pro may kill Note 5 pro sales.
But its not the Xiaomi's highest selling model.

Move over Samsung, note 7 disasters on full display.

this proves that xiaomi isnt selling like thousand of 4ns in there flash sales as some indians say .... They are out of stock bcoz they have very high demand...

Some times back for me Xiaomi was like a cheap Chinese brand and I never thought I would ever buy this brand.
But after using overpriced Samsung S6 edge, I was so disappointed and after seeing good reviews of Xiaomi brand, I bough MiA1 and I must say this phone is totally worth to its price, built quality is so good, battery good, camera is not that great but still ok, same phone from Samsung would cost like 1.5x the price.
So now bye bye Samsung, keep your overpriced phone to yourself, you can't make Indian people fool forever, now everybody have realized that Xiaomi, Honor phones are better as well as cheap. Now Samsung which was at number 1 position is now dropped down and I wish they keep losing market share so they can learn a good lesson and reduce their prices to a balanced level.

If someone understands Indian mentality, it's evident from what Xiaomi did.
Indians believe- any manufacturer with after sales service provision is a good one ( it may or may not be used in reality).

Xiaomi set up manufacturing facility and service centres across country, which worked. Plus it delivers quality more appropriate to price tag. All these did the wonders in favor of Xiaomi.

However, same tactics didn't work for OPPO VIVO. They have outlets / authorized centres across every corner, but the quality is pathetic. That's why inspite being cheap comparatively , it has still not reached top.

Samsung has good network of service centers. Hence, it will not have much problem.

To keep up sammy need to put sd630, 636 level chips in their j series. Also using exynos chips isnt helping coz ppl dont know which is what... sd is easy to judge and is popular.

Nd lately they've not attuned to latest trends of dual cams and tall screens. These things ruining their sales. Their low end designs are ancient by now. Very boring.

Asus will overtake them. Samsung really needs to get things right. The new j series should launch with the exynos 7882 with 18:9 amoled screen under 20k will be great

Looks like Asus wants to spoil Xiaomi's party with its exclusive partnership with flipkart.

Huh. According to this, Samsung didn't lose any (or not a lot) market during the past years. So Indians are breaking away from no-name brands to a few of them, which is good and bad. However the main problem 9f fragmentation that affects most OEMs isn't slowing down by this.
