Well i said it million times LG does best TVs and this their TVs department can cover even other departments which are in red numbvers like mobile phone division.
When 1-2 out of 100 people buy LG they can litterary close their mobile bussiness because feeding dead branch can kill a whole tree.

Ook, 26 Apr 2018Well I have some bad news and some good news. The bad news ... moreAgreed but this kind of press can hurt consumer confidence. 11 straight unprofitable quarters, sucks if you buy a shiny new G7 only for LG to announce their closing their mobile division which would result in support and updates grinding to an abrupt halt. Not to mention the resale value of your LG device just took a huge hit.

Well I have some bad news and some good news. The bad news is this wont be a better quarter than the last and the G7 won't sell as good as they need it to. The good news is LG is already used to it.

I'm guessing it's probably because their other divisions are so profitable that they let their mobile division continue to live on life support. It's probably also because LG simply doesn't want to give up the market share even if it means taking a loss as Samsung would only get bigger if LG mobile closes shop.

No wonder for LG phone division to struggling in the competition, their main case is the worst quality get to their flagship phone as oppose to their mainstream mid rangers line. Bootloop, Screen Retention, Lack of Update and overprice they offer for those 3 main problems that always get to their flagship phone are the result of the decline in their sales.

Go LG Go, i support LG to be the Korean leader.

It's not specs nor price the reason of LG mobile decline... It's the reputation of shoody quality phones: LG G2 touch screen problem. G3 overheating and battery drain. LG G4, V10, Nexus 5x with bootloop. G5 with screen ghosting, gps problems, battery holder failing off.

That's why the resale price of any LG phone is so low, even flagships like the G6 which for some miracle don't have any major failure, it's initial sale price fell very quickly.

I love LG. They keep making half a**ed phones that are just OK compared to the competition.. but the good news is I wait a few months and get it for super cheap up to 70% off the release price.

And the phone is good enough for me.. LGs failure is to my benefit

Today's phones are overrated, brands increase prices over and over again and they don't offer too much, people go and buy a $800, $900 or more expensive phones just because they have 1 GB more of RAM and camera is a litle (really a litle) bit better. i think i'm not going to buy a new phone in several years (if planned obsolescence does not make me buy one in just a few months)

Not at all a surprise. LG has been declining over the years. Too expensive and no innovation from their side...

Expected and easy to understand. Lack of updates, only unlocked bootloader in some regions, flagships with not enough good components, and absolutly overpriced crap phones like these ones: https://www.gsmarena.com/lg_k8_2018_and_k10_2018_launch_in_italy_as_k9_and_k11-news-30687.php

                            Aberrations, literally.

If they have released LG V30 as an upgraded version with SD845 they might have gotten more costumers interested. The G7 is a big joke compared to V30

LG UI us terrible. And looks like G7 is not going to improve anything: just another huge 6.1 incher with supposedly small battery and the same outdated UI. There are already tons of phones like this (or actually even more interesting) from other manufacturers on the market. Not to mention that most of them cost less than G7.

LG, stop making huge phone-tablets. Make a normal usable phone, not overpriced, that people will actually buy!
