The Mi Pad 3 was unstable and buggy. I'll wait for the review for this one or I might go with the Huawei Mediapad M5.

And even if they make it, Windows on ARM performance is currently super choppy due to x86 emulation layer (and that's using SD835, so just forget SD660). If only Intel didn't give up the Atom lines... (or why don't they just continue with Kaby Lake R? Core M3 should be suitable for tablets, its TDP is only 4.5W, though can be boosted).

The most awaited spec is actually the price. Can it compete with entry level iPad which is $329 now?
SD660 is a very good SoC for Full HD resolution. All Mi Pad lines so far has 2048x1536 resolution, which is taller and wider than Full HD. Even now it has 18:9 aspect ratio (well, Full HD+ is not impossible), I'm kinda skeptical for its gaming performance with that resolution. It's hard to beat Apple A10 with this.

You would get barely noticeable improvement in performance and much worse battery life. Pushing some chips all the way instead of widening the pipeline makes little sense even on some desktop parts as evidenced by AMD's Vega 64 where going from 1500 to 1750 nets you ~17% theoretical improvement and less than that in real life but a 2x power draw. Even with their relatively narrow pipeline compared to Apple's chips and x86 parts the new Kryos will choke at 3GHz so badly it's not even funny.

Especially if you take into account that most people use their tablets while their at home. And when watching movies at home most consumers stream those over Amazon, Netflix....But having the options of a micro SD card is always nice.
Side note: this thing is probably not the mi pad tablet since it has a 18:9 display ratio like most full view smartphones of today. Highly likely it's the upcoming 6.99" Mi Max 3.

Since the display ratio is 18:9 I highly doubt that this thing is a tablet. More likely it's the upcoming mi Max 3 with a 6.99" 18:9 display and 6000mAh battery. It probably has the option to run a tablet UI since it's as big as a 7" tablet.
