I allready have 1,8 Ghz processor on my xperia arc, with unlock boot loader. And only one problem: 512 ram, this is not enough.

Single core, 512mb ram... Please go back to the drawing board then equip it with dual core and at least 1GB ROM. Then we can talk.

AnonD-2075, 31 Aug 2011you're quite right...it's samsung's fault...their dual was ... moreWhat's interesting is that most CPU/GPU taxing applications from AppStore/Android Market are games. Any productivity related daily-used apps generally don't require dual-cores anyway. I can't think of anything more than games that iPhones will get once they get the upgrade. You can inform me on that.

The dual-cores really shine when it comes to desktop-like web browsing experience, 1080p recording/playback, etc. I already have dual-cores and I wouldn't look back to single-cores ever for this reason, not to be a gamer on a phone... And it's only going to get better with optimization.

Sorry SE, but your marketing is already discovered by XDA dev, the default arc processor is 1,55ghz, but SE decided to underclock it to 1ghz, and now they will launch a "new" arc S with 1.4ghz plese next! My arc is running at 1.9 ghz... The same goes to galaxy sII the default clock is 1.5 not 1.2, and by the end of the year, will pop a galaxy sII super

Sony Ericsson is failing really hard to keep up with the rest of the market. It's almost winter now, the Nexus Prime and the iPhone 5 are coming out, and they still don't even have a dual-core phone. They could be waiting to see what the iPhone 5 has to offer though, to then release a device that is better than it/doesn't lose to it.

For the record sake LG Optimus 2X was the first phone with dual core and not S2.. Moreover dual cores arw not only for apps.. A 1080p video wont work great with a single core... There are many other advantages of a dual core over a single core such as in multitasking.. You cant really blame the manufacturers.. Google should have updated its version earlier...
