Perhaps next year BB will release a model with the so called Snapdragon 710 SoC and/or Android P.

timkay, 29 Apr 2018I'm still a huge fan of BlackBerry because they still maint... morei wish they would use the BB trademark V shape keyboard, like old school blackberrys
the one they make now is useless !!

Just started using the black edition keyone coming from an iPhone X. Have to say loving it at the moment and can't wait to see what the follow-up model is like. Will probably upgrade to it. So far the phone has been flawless. Camera could be a little better indoors and at night otherwise performance is brilliant.

Still kept the iPhone as I love it too but missed the nostalgia of having a keyboard.

All they need to do is don't over priced this phone like keyone and it well make pkb a thing again.

I'm still a huge fan of BlackBerry because they still maintain their keypads (trademark) on most of their devices. BB are an exclusive company providing to the public what every smartphone aren't doing. They understand that not every customer will be completely pleased with touchscreen phones so they kept on with the keypad/touch which is an exclusive idea. The phone looks great. I'll like BB to load this smartphone with the latest wares android competitors are using, this way BB shall rise again. #AmaBigBBFan

The phone also gains an extra key on the keyboard

how very unfortunate! I was waiting to get this one after my keyone black edition! but if the stupid touch keys are still there, then there is no way I pay for it!!! while the dual camera is welcome addition but it's not that important comparing to the screen to body ratio and a better processor! (Google pixel 2 has a single cam and it still bests most cameras)
I mean it's still going to be a capable phone, but it's not as good as a successor! they could have easily made this the keyone black edition!
word of advice, LOSE THE DAMN TOUCH KEY SETUP! IT'S 2018/9 FFS!

Blackbery is in start to re-entry in smartphone market after BB device and the OS has colapse. But Blackberry has a big name..so less effort in marketing, include the cost. but why their phone price should always high? i believe if BB cut the price in to mid high...BB will got higher market.
Less margin, but million buyer. like BB keyone..if the price something between $500-600 i believe it will booming in the market. Or another way is create a product with mid low price. Keyone and Keyone+ compared to samsung with A8 and A8+ . I need BB keyone but when i compare to competitor price, with all price range and feature...hmmm its to high for me.

Why not, 29 Apr 2018Make a passport 2.0 running on android with 5" screen. Agreed.
                  Passport 2 would be great.

I want BlackBerry Priv 2 with the design remaining unchanged while upgrading the construction material from plastic to metal. Are you listening Blackberry?

If they put Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, etc on it, I'll just blindly go for this device.
I've seen the UI & OS optimisations they've done on KeyOne, it's so optimised that it keeps up with flagships in speed test. Such optimisations on a powerful processor will this phone a pocket rocket.

Priv2 and sliding keyboard (but worthy of BB's name this time!).

Nice to see a device which stand out hope they make Priv 2 with SD 845

Blackberry's biggest strengths: Long lasting battery!

Kiyasuriin, 28 Apr 2018Beautiful, Platform/RAM/STorage/Battery!?I'm expecting the chipset to be sporting a SNAPDRAGON 626/630/636/660, to be a worthy successor of the BlackBerry KEYOne, and for everything else, I expect it to have more. BlackBerry may have already dropped to the bottom of the smartphone market, but they are still one of the brands that still keeps their own signature design language present till now

I really want a Blackberry Priv 2. I had a Dell Venue Pro (slide up keyboard smartphone) and I think that more people would buy a phone with a slide up keyboard because it doesn't interfere with the screen. Many reviewers liked the Priv, but did not like the SD 800 series chip it ran. Priv was ahead of its time. But now that flagship chips are ridiculously efficient, a Priv 2 could work. I would buy a Priv 2 at 600 with a SD 845, 6GB RAM, stereo speakers, micro sd expansion and a headphone jack. Even a lower specced Priv 2 with that new SD 700 would be a good deal at the right price. BUT, the KeyOne (2018) needs to just get on Android One and it'll be all good.

Make a passport 2.0 running on android with 5" screen.

I have been fan of BB and BBOS. Productivity, security and ease ( with a physical keyboard)have been some great features.
But after end of BBOS I have given up on BB devices. Yet I retain Q5 model.
I would definitely like to buy this one if it comes with good SoC ( 800 series at least) and a sane price tag.

Else BB Hub is doing the job for me on my Android One device.

I’m glad they stick to their strength.
BB knows that Android is overcrowded, and they have to find something unique, different from others.

Just like HMD/Nokia, they focus on durability and Pure Android. While many oems try to be as cheap as possible and making up a skin that slowing down the phone.

Sony did it too with huge bezel and thicc phone. Haha. No, im joking.

I dont want any single brand to dominate. Domination is no good. So competition can be more competitive, and innovation on affordable product would be created.
