I am AT&T customer and glad the merge is delay. I was going to switch my business to T-Mobile and save $720 a year. I want to AT&T store and they say that they can't help me to save money. I called customer service to canceled my service and to my surprised they match my phone plan to T-Mobile phone plan. I'm 1000% sure that AT&T will not going to match price after the merger!!!

And the Philippine government did nothing regarding the acquisition of Sun Cellular by Smart Telecom. Zzzzzz

great job. there is nothing worse than these terrible companies getting bigger and bigger and squeezing every single dollar out of customers. if tmobile wants to sell the business they should sell it to google. now i will be happy to renew my contract with tmobile again.

theFACTS, 01 Sep 2011This is a lame ... as long as tmobile agree to at&t the... moreThe reason there is an issue with this is because it reduces competition to zero. AT&T would basically have a monopoly on GSM services, which means they can raise prices pretty much whenever, and however they want, because there's no pressure to keep them lower. Generally, the government needs to protect the consumer or they end up getting absolutely rorted.

Seriously, learn basic business and economics before making a post like this.

AnonD-9845, 01 Sep 2011this is just stupid..since when is a government department ... moreSince Standar Oil, since the depression, since 2008 when coorporations asked the government departments to bail them out. I guess the government should only get involved with corporations when the are about to go bankrupt and need tax payer money rather than to protect consumers (tax payers) when there are only 2 x GSM carriers in the US.

Like at&t put it, I am 1000% against the merging between the two companies. I have T-Mobile, and I am happy the way it is.

I could write a whole dissertation supporting my view. I strongly disagree because... blah blah blah.

Then blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...

                Page 10.
Yes, 10 times 100% is 1000%. That how much my network of disagreement I got here.

                Page 101.
                So I disagree.

They were ranked the "worst cellphone provider" but when was the last time you heard of ATT tower maintence crew go on strike because their contract expired? Or they sabotaged their own network?

I doubt its sprint influence, Ide say Verizon.

                        To 'no point'
You may want to research "monopoly". I know it's trendy to knock the government. You have to educate yourself. This is what happens people follow these conservative pundits. They don't think for themselves and it shows.

government blocking this deal is actually the right thing to do. that is because, if a certain company monopolize the entire market, the company may of course logically can decrease their quality of service since consumers will have no choice but to use their services. furthermore increased subscription cost will also be possible because again, consumers don't have any option to switch because, there is only one company existing. competition drives innovation and price drops resulting to better customer satisfaction.

This is a lame ... as long as tmobile agree to at&t then at&t have the power to either raise ur plan or drop. This has nothing to do with cumstomer right.. if u dont like it leave the service... this is all about company's right.. if im a company myself ill do the same too. This suit is so dumb... seriously.. why would u sue someone who make more sales then u just because they go cheaper.... so lame.
