Why does HTC build a flagship level phone? They'll never ever beat Samsung at the top end. HTC might have a chance in the midrange market.

Not my favorite samples but nothing a software update or Open Camera app couldn't fix. I still hate the fact that the battery on a large LCD phone like this is less than 3,500 mAH...

These leaked shots don't look bad.

LG Superfan, 30 Apr 2018Maybe it has bigger pixelsMaybe it has something more... but processing seems about the same. Could be great last year but with this year coming of dual cameras, with multi stacking and separate ISP, wonder how it will end up. U11+ was promising, but thats just one I remember.

phone looks good, and those samples, well, we aren't even sure those are from the phone itself, meh :-)

It seems to me that the phone is kind of a downgrade in most areas compared to the U11+ for me. The U11+ was one of the almost perfect phone for me last year and I expected better this year. Yet, here it is. Ugly design and a smaller battery.

It would also require a significantly larger distance between the lens and the sensor.

But knowing HTC, they will screw it up again with a mediocre 1/2.55" one.
A single 1/1.5" 16mp optically-stabilized f/1.8 sensor with multi-frame noise reduction alone could put some serious pressure against high end digital cameras.

is that all htc? haha damn the shots taken by your latest flagship were just looking like any other chinese cheap ordinary smartphone. Shame on you HTC, totally no innovation and prices you set previously is like you're hallucinating. a company like this is certainly deserves no more chance in a couple yeara from now against all the tough competitors. Good work htc keep it up. Lmao..
