I don't see the need to make to jump to a newer phones and I've got S7 Edge. There is nothing ground-breaking/revolutionary about the current flagships. Sure, they got new chips, screens, etc., but that's incremental.

Sad to see, samsung still make the best phones in my mind. I had a Samsung galaxy S9 (bought outright on amazon) but it was faulty so I returned it and decided to try the Huawei P20 since I was able to get a good deal on it (and the promotion for the free bose quiet comfort 35 ii headsets that I qualified for). Overall though the Samsung was much better, I like the curved screens, the screen itself was far brighter and felt great to touch, the camera was better, the sound was louder and clearer, the phone felt better and I can grab a better looking case for it (not many options for Huawei cases).
The P20 isn't bad, it has some benefits like more storage and bigger battery but damn I miss he Samsung. That's before I mention the lack of a notch, the 3.5mm jack, the nice quality headphone speakers included with them etc. I don't see why I'd want any other phone when it's a near perfect all round package. I was tempted by he headset and cheaper price but if you can afford the Samsung then it basically has everything you'd get from an iphone x with more flexibility on storage, headphone jack etc. and cheaper. Its the only phone I can think of that really rivals the iphone x (ignoring price and whatnot as others compete within the expectation of their price).

Haha, good news. The curved edge screen is the worst thing (after non-removable battery) in the mobile world. It's worse than the notch.

In first months sales goes great because of fans, that wants new flagship of their favourite brands....than, sole goes down since all others(who don't really care about brand) see that it is just too expensive.
S9 has a problem that s8 is just a great phone, and also that is much cheaper. S9 came without some great news...yes camera is better, but s8's camera is also fine.
They look the same....so it is hard to sell s9 when there are another, almost same product on a same place, for a less money.
Than there are other brand, that sales same hardware for even less...so, what Samsung need to do is cut the prices. And,that is...cut them good.

I will use ANY brand. that has 3.5mm jack. and has no notch. these are my conditions. if 2k19 is filled with notched phone. I'll stick to my S9 like I'm sticking to life.

Now that S9 was revealed with back fingerprint yet again! The crowd that bought S8 for screen was not yet ready for upgrade.. those with S7 start to look elsewhere..
The last straw would be note 9. If that phone use back fingerprint again.. I bet the sales will go down the toliet.
Tip for Samsung: Don't rush your product. Make sure all the gimmicks are in place before launching.. You are not Apple.

Why don't these manufactures understand that they are not APPLE
They have to introduce atleast 50 to 60 focus point cameras with atleast 64 GB ram 2 Terabytes of storage intel quad core 8 gen cpu 1080 gpu and a separate GPU ram of 16 GB
Display on front and back and on all four sides
A.I. like it should do what ever we think in mind
Battery life should be solar tech based
Price should be not more than 500 USD paid to who ever who buys their devices
And above all a good FART detector as well because heart rate and other sensors are over rated

And the camera you are referring is byself enough to justify bro
It has almost every feature that current breed is offering apart from wide angle like LG other than that it's really a very worth taking camera
And Samsung did it in the way of Apple and they saw decrease in sale apple after I phone 6 then 6s Then 7 then 8 like what they changed at all ?
I hate this fan based comments even I haven't used Samsung since Note5 but still when apple does things and screw the customer it's revolutionary and once in life time Samsung did it so they are not different than previous model infact they changed every single internal component and added bunch of hardware and above that they really did quite well with the camera
Btw I use Mate 9 and iPhone 7 plus but still credit should be given where it is due or else majority people just comment for the sake of comment

Apart from the camera. The S9 is just a more expensive recycled S8. And people are finally getting sick of spending so much money on what is essentially the same phone from a year ago.

I think this is happening for these reasons mainly, the s9 is almost looking as its predecessor, the prices are very high, and the gap in performance between flagships and their lesser brothers is very little now, talking about samsung, the note series is entirely unchallenged, so samsung can have a very little justification

Price could be the reason, both IPX and S9 are charging higher than the previous iterations. Mass customers reflected they didn't buy it. Phone makers should think again whether the current high price works for the current models, the future models.
