Not saying China is not spying but to be honest at this age, USA, China, Russia spying everyone everywhere, it has nothing to do with American people want privacy it's just marketing shamamba, everybody wants privacy no matter you American or Chinesse, real reason Chinesse companies was pushed back in America because Trump sees it as number one economical enemy and does not want them to make business in America and surpass America economically

Solid, excellent smartphone but nowhere to be compared with the X, Pixel 2 or S9 in terms of camera, processor or screen at least... They are being veeeery greedy, but Samsung since the S7 is really offering amazing smartphones, and following their pricing is suicide.

Xiaomi has a bright future in Europe. The market for high end expensive phones is beginning to saturate, and the carrier "3" is going to sell Xiaomi phones with contracts in several European countries.

Geric.770, 04 May 2018Of course. Most Americans don't want to breached their priv... moreActually Americans are much more used to how their privacy doesn't wort a s**t than anyone else thanks to courtesy from their government. Funny thing is Xiaomi just changed it's privacy policy so that it can satisfy better the needs of US (& other alike) governments. US government doesn't have anything against gathering of your personal data nor it cares who does it all that much as long as they are the ones who control it. This day's you simply can't repel pests no matter what you use as a base software even if it's a open source one & built by your self if you want to use your device normally. They will all hurry to peek in your privacy & get you data. MS, Google, Apple, Baidu, Facebook, Twitter... Xiaomi. You don't even have a much (if any) choose on who owns your a** anymore. When ever you create an account you agree to it (with possible exception of at least most open source services) & you don't need to have any account at all, browser & cookies will do it anyway.
