Martin, 04 May 2018Exactly my thoughts. I'm in the same position, it is a joke... more@Martin
I share your pain. I usually replace my phone around this time, and because of the disgraceful behaviour shown by Huawei/Honor I went for the Oneplus 5T. As soon as I connected it to WiFi it received the Oreo v8.1.0 and 1st April 2018 security level update. I know which manufacturer I'll be going to in future when I'm looking to replace my present phone. Suffice to say that I will never go near Huawei ever again.

I just updated my phone, it's the 2nd 1st update after the phone was updated to Oreo 8.0. The Face unlock is little slow when compared to other top-end models Like iPhones X or One Plus 5T. the dialer pad has increased a little. But overall a good update for stability and security.

I could get an iphone but I work outside all day and need a phone with a battery that lasts more than half a day! Iphone = $999 (with a cheap Chinese 10 cent battery).

Freefaller, 04 May 2018The article is incorrect. The Oreo update was only released... moreExactly my thoughts. I'm in the same position, it is a joke that other region is rocking oreo for 3 months now and Europe is without ANY support at all. In fact I contacted Honor UK support and they respond to me with: "our developers working 24/7". It was on the 19th February!!!
              Joke of the year

I've said before, it's shouldn't be left to users to go hunting for firmware that is released for other variants and may be incompatible with European models. It is the responsibility of the phone manufacturer to update their products with the correct firmware.

I still haven't received the Oreo update, I doubt I will get the face unlock in this life. This is the last Honor/Huawei device I will ever buy. I have the European version, DUK-L09C636B186
                        Absolutely appalling software support.

The article is incorrect. The Oreo update was only released for Asia, the rest of the world was ignored. I live in the UK and my H8PRO is still stuck on Android v.7.0 and a security level dated 1st July 2017. To leave what was their flagship phone 12 months ago with a security level that is 10 months out of date is disgraceful.

Hey guys, I have an Honor 9. How do I access the face unlock feature? I haven't seen it since I got the Oreo update.

when faceunlock feature will be available for mate9 which also powered by kirin 960

Any news on that update for Huawei P10 series?
