I do agree to your solution , but still , carrying around a headset and converter is a bit more 'tedious' but more importantly more COSTLY.

And there is always a bluetooth headphones when you need to charge your phone and listen to music in the same time. And well there are converters that you need for 3.5mm plug that have extra charger port with them if you need to listen music while you charge.

You can go for the Mi a2 if you are able to carry a usb-c to 3.5 mm jack converter and a power bank (no music while charging!).Other options in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 price range are the RN 5 Pro and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro (the 6gb version).Welcome!

If your budget allows you to take the nokia 8 phone (Rs 28,000), then the best thing to do is get another phone for that price- the old but still awesome honor 8 pro, the mi 7 and the honor view 10 are some good alternatives, as well as some samsung phones. If you can spend a few thousand rupees more, the mi mix 2s and oneplus 5's are great. The mi a2 is a good choice if you can bear the absence of the audio jack (carry an adapter around everywhere;no music while charging) and carry a power bank around too (a 5000 mah one is enough- it effectively gives you 3500mah). Other options in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20000 range are the RN 5 Pro and the asus zenfone max pro.Welcome!

I always find it extremely annoying howe people whine about this or that and then they just ignore it and can't wait to buy the phone they complained about anyway.
That's why once a bad trend starts, it's never reversed. People never give manufacturers a reson to reverse it, because they can get away with anything, people will buy no matter what (HTC may be the only exception, but even they don't care about people's s wishes and never reverse any bad decisions).
Sad really. I'm sick of these artificially crippled (Crippled not because of manufacturing cost, but just because) phones offering extremely poor user experience.

Not in the same league as Zenfone Max Pro M1, that one is direct competitor to Redmi Note 5, but Mi 6X is in its own level ahead.

Hints alone would not be compelling, of course, but Android One file structure is as solid as it gets.

I can't decide if I should wait for Xiaomi Mi A2 or get Nokia 7 plus. Nokia is much more expensive and doesn't offer much more. Non-glass back is the crucial feature for me. What to do? I can have Nokia even tomorrow, no idea how long I should wait for Xiaomi, when comes to transition from 5X to A1 it took Xiaomi a few months. :|

AnonD-611364, 06 May 2018U should know by now that the 5.99" 18:9 display on the XIA... moreMy 5.5 inch 16:9 screen phone is 141mm tall and it has bezel on the bottom something over 1cm wide. Most of the 5.7 inch screen phones are 148-154mm tall. Most 6 inch phones are 156-162mm tall. So basically 5.5 inch screen would fit in a 131mm tall body without bezels.
If you talk about only screen size and dont count in the bezel then 141mm is ok for 6 inch. But thatnks to bezel on top and bottom it will add 10mm or more to it and makes the phone taller.
I am looking a new phone for a while now and waiting for the release of some phones or with somephone to be out of presell with dropped price. But compact isnt the trend right now and the bigger is better like back in the day with brick size phones like Nokia 1610 or 2010
