If it was Apple they be blaming the customer and would be saying: "You're (insert verb + ing) it wrong!"

                Typical apple.
Hitting nail until they have no choice just release the truth.
Every company should go out with mistakes and not hiidding them untl its too late.
Like Samsung did with Note 7.

"Here at Apple we know our customers use their phones for anything but making calls. We also know that they value their privacy. So as part of our innovation and in order to improve battery life and to protect them from hackers, we're disabling the microphone of their phones."

Software can do anything to hardware.

Let's start off with the basics by overheating or turning up the voltage a notch.

So yeah.. the phone need hardware fixing if they encounter this issue. Even if they patch the software.

So.. bad news. A expensive iPod anyone?

Right, before you all keep digging yourself a hole, slandering apple again I implore you listen and perhaps use your brains little bit(This may be harder for others than some).

1.It's a bug, it'll get fixed as it's just a software issue. "WOAH apple is terrible, IPOD 7, Crapple blah blah blah..." - Most of the naïve Android fanboys. Now may I remind you again it's a software issue and it happens. Android is the WORST system for bugs and the support is near to nothing.

                        2. "But dude, apple is terrible because they charge too much.." - Random bias. Dude get outta here, all phones are expensive, have you seen an S9 plus recently? It's nearly £1000 too. With apple you pay for the name which means quality.

Conclusion: Apple ain't too bad, they make mistakes but that doesn't make the phones or systems awful. Statistically they're the best system out there. To mention, none of their phones blow up or have major physical design faults. This'll be fixed in a week. CALM Down haters and chill. Android isn't the be all and end all.

Apple knows that most of the users never use phones for calls anymore so it disabled the mic. Quite understandable.
