It would be a lot better of companies would only release one good phone per year maybe with different sizes and support them properly.
Then if you can't afford the latest and greatest you would just buy last year model which would still be good but at a lower price.

Xiaomi has just killed them anyway, by giving us 4K video recording for a sub-$200 budget smartphone, with quality only a touch behind the flagships with price tags 4x as much.
And mid range chipsets aren't capable of doing this just yet.
Not all flagship phones have 960fps super slow motion yet. Most of them are still at 240fps, so it would be funny if suddenly a mid range phone offered 480fps slow motion.
I'd say 120fps for mid rangers would be enough for now, and let's just wait for the flagships to improve further then we can have the 960fps slow motion on mid rangers.

Let the performance aside, camera department is where Opo always lies, just fake promises. The camera doesn't even come close to any flagship, just mediocre at best. The design is another area where they need to work on. haven't seen any original design from OPo since 3T. OnePlus new phones are just a copy of their Oppo counterparts.

Next Xperia 4K ( CES 2019 or MWC 2019) with Motion Eye Dual 2.0 will do 4K@2000fps.
