AnonD-15310, 05 Sep 2011special facts about N9. It beats SG s2, OS wise. why these ... moreWow, what a long comment you wrote here. Who wants to read it all?
You wrote that the N9 has the most fastest camera. It's not true, because the HTC Sensation is faster. I saw a video. By the way this think is NOT so important.
"Web browser supports multitouch of up to 6 fingers at once. (maybe more?)"- who cares about this, you want to use 6 fingers or what?? :D
"N9 has the world's first full touchscreen OS. no front bttons unlike sg2"- and so what if the SG2 has buttons? I think that it's really good that it has buttons. Do you want to praise Nokia because they made a phone without buttons?? Without buttons it's harder to use the phone.
I don't want to discuss about everything you posted there, because I don't have infos about all the things you have posted. I just know(logically) that a NEW OS can't beat one with EXPERIENCE. Please think a little bit about this. If Android is so weak, then why it has a lot of companies and fans??

its fake photos, Nokia say before that symbian make low-end device no more highend Symbian, Beacuse Next High End device is window 7 Smartphone, So The successor of Nokia N8 its run window 7.5 not Symbian Belle, Symbian Belle For mid-range and lowend device only like Nokia700 and 701,

I hope Nokia Make More time For Next Flagship Aka Succesor Of Nokia N8, Pleased Checked your device before you sell in the market, Nokia I know You learned peoples suffer buggs and issue of nokia N8 and C7 powerfailure, motherboard heating, restarting, purple tint... And Pleased Do not Repeat Again, Nokia I trust You Dont Dissappoint me next time.... Take your time... Godbless

It seems Symbian will not die as I see many fans here... How people are talking here, it seems N801 is a make or break phone... If it is hit, it will be game-changer and if its flop, it will be game over.. Come on guys... Just embrace technology.. No OS is perfect.. Neither Symbian nor Android nor iOS or any other OS out there is perfect.. I, for one, would like to see Nokia making a comeback...

carlo, 05 Sep 2011so why are you nokia haters so worried when nokia comes out... moreI am no so worried now. In the past I was a little bit worried, but back then I was not a Samsung fan. I don't like Nokia, because they abandoned Meego, and because they will make WP devices. I don't like that OS. The Menu is so simple and boring, it lacks some important things, you can search for these on Google, or in this site.

I must have missed something: where was it said that Sym^3 will be supported into 2016? If so, that's quite a lengthy commitment in the mobile/OS tech world.

The "N801" phone looks very nice, and I do like Sym^3 a lot ... but I really hope that Nokia takes the opportunity to reposition their product lines. WP7.5 is Nokia's flagship future; Sym^3 *should* be Nokia's midrange and "feature" smartphone future; S40 is Nokia's low-end, and quite good for that.

That way, a Nokia flagship will mean WP7; if you get the Nokia Cameraphone/Musicphone/Textingphone, it'll be Sym^3 with custom hardware (say, an awesome camera module, excellent keyboard or superior audio quality); if you get a cheap Nokia it'll be S40: super-reliable and consistent, with a wide variety of Java apps.

Nokia's presence and pedigre allows them to capture all these market segments where Apple (for example) really can't. But they've failed to capitalise thus far, and I hope they get their act together.

That is how technology works, ev... moresamsung do have camera centric phone and i think it is called as Samsung M8910 Pixon12 you need to work on your knowledge and as far as N8 is concerned it don't have many standard features of Android devices like charge the phone every two hours,Resource hogging, lagging even after using dual core(optimus 2X for eg), Camera quality that is comparable only to some old Motorola phones (eg: HTC's have best poor quality camera),poor quality sound (well most of them) and must have feature security holes

i never seen anything on the video shown by the Nokia 700 nor any hint at all that it is a Nokia 801..

although really smoking hot design i must say!!
hope this comes out to be a real phone Nokia will be releasing..

First with GSM chip, earlier ones were Wifi based tablets that also nicely paired with Nokia phones. Google for N770 (in 2005), N800 and N810.

                      LMAO.
Don't buy sg s2, because it is outdated.

(I guess when the rest of your phone is pure crap and the only thing that is good about your devices is the Camera)
again SG s2 is outdated. Engadget said N8 is the king of cameras in smartphones in a N9 post.http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/28/nokia-n9-camera-sample-images-and-video/ so does Gsmarena.

(Nokia N900 launched 2009, G1 launched 2008 and has had pull down notifications, widgets, and multiple home pages on day one, almost a whole year before the launch of the Nokia N900, this is data pulled right off of GSMARENA, anything else you have left to say?)

do you think Maemo 5 OS was made in just one year, so that they can copy from G1?

(You mad bro? You mad because this is a forum meaning people will always express their opinions? You hurt that they're reminding you that you've over paid for your piece of junk?)
i think what he meant was he has seen you in many nokia threads trolling like a mad samsung bro. looks like your fulltime job is here trolling hard/ you are highly paid by samsung or any androidems.

(Meego isn't too late? Wow, so even the news that INTEL has officially let MeeGo go as well is not an indicator of anything? News flash buddy, even Intel, the other official partner of the MeeGo foundation has decided to stop development of MeeGo and is looking to a partnership with Android. Belle isn't too late either? I mean it brings things that we android/iOS users has had for a very long time. )

Intel spokesperson told CNET that they are still committed to MeeGo.

“”We remain committed to MeeGo and open source, and will continue to work with the community to help develop and meet the needs of customers and end users”
read the news from this blog http://mynokiablog.com/2011/09/02/intel-backing-away-from-meego-intel-says-theyre-still-committed/

btw meego is not Intel's nor Nokias. but they contribute to Meego. It’s a open source project under the Linux Foundation.

(I mean it brings things that we android/iOS users has had for a very long time.) oh what is "WE" ... you are just a troll.are you now representing as a apple && and-roid troll? and that statement can make any symbian user laugh. Interms of looks it might be true, but it is still the most matured OS out there.

carlo, 05 Sep 2011bottomline.. why are you nokia hatesuckers worry so much fo... moreThen why are you Nokia fanboys so hellbent on replying to any data that I post? If you want to talk about Android go ahead, Android as an OS is awesome, however the manufacturers that make android devices are not always up to snuff. I mean if you were to post anything bad about Android devices at the very least make sure its actual data and not the opinions of biased fanboys. Samsung is full of faults, they shafted everyone with no NFC on the initial batches of Galaxy S II, their resolution is still stuck on WVGA where as most high end devices are using qHD. Funny how I only posted that the N8-01 would most likely not run qHD as it would cause fragmentation and fanboys jump all over me like ants on sugar water.

I never told you not to buy Nokia devices did I? I do it just for the lulz, I like to see how many fanboys will try to defend their brand based purely on Nokia name. I don't buy samsung devices because its samsung or HTC because it's an HTC. I buy whoever can provide me with the best user experience, best phone, at my intended price range when I decide to buy my phone. That, however would never be a Nokia device, owned too many Nokia's in the past to ever buy another one.

samsung fans dont understand that samsung is purely a hardware manufacturer.cant even come up with their original design..;p so all they can do is keep packing their phones with more and more ghz processors. How else would they differentiate with htc and moto and huawei and zte and micromax and god knows who else.there is no end to this 1.2, 1.4 ghz madness. i agree that for watching a video sgs2 is miles ahead of anything out there. But what a consumer needs to look at is what are his particular needs and are they satisfied by the overall package at a reasonable price or by paying for specs like dual core which are just that- specs!! Plz tell me anythin that a 30000 Rs galaxy s 2 can do that my one year old n8 (Rs.21000) cant do. Plz dont tell me shoot and play 1080p vid bcoz frankly speaking i cant see the difference between 1080p and 720p vids. Also video recording at 720p in n8 is in my opinion no way less than vids shot on gs2. Plus i have bought so many premium games on n8 like asphalt 6 and hawx and what not and still the cost is much below the "greatest smartphone ever". And dont even get me started on the camera on my n8 because there is not a samsung digicam that comes close let alone cameraphone. So the whole point is dont run behind the hardware but look at the functionality and value for money. And the point about dead os. Remember symbian is getting support till 2016. Yeah tht is still 5 years down the line.now i dont know about others who think their phone is future proof but i cant see myself using one phone for 6 years.longeg i have used one is 2 and a half years and then sell it. And remember in resale value no one beats nokia. S ican safely buy two more symbian phones use them and sell them before the support stops.and i dont know what kind of support is really needed by symbian now. It can already do everything that i need from phone os. Yeah maybe it cant be used to heat up my palms on a chilly day like the galaxy s2 but really samsung deserves some credit afterall!!

Each os is having an edge over the other in some aspects . I do love symbian lot as they are great in multimedia compared to others , like nokia N8 .
But we wish it to have gr8 specs like a faster processor by that i dont mean dual cores , windows phone 7 is swift even with snapdragon processor which is two years old . Nokia is improving and is trying to overcome their failure, but ditching symbian is a sad move . the only reason to leave symbian is the quality of apps is below par. Even the facebook app is some what crippled . But hope this N8-01 or whatever it is comes with a bang with great camera and super sleek user experience . *(many say symbian doesnot need high specs to make it run which is true but the mob prefers to have high specs and cant complain with that )

                                      1. That is how technology works, everything gets outdated in a 6 month period. My graphics card that I bought 5 months ago is no longer the top performance king, however it still is able to compete. Nokia has failed to compete, E6, X7, N8, E7 all failures to compete, let along keep up with technology. Also the Xiaomi M1 is not released yet, however when it is released it will have a competitive CPU, unlike Nokia N8 launched with an ARM v6 clocked at a measly 256MB of ram.

                                      2. I guess when the rest of your phone is pure crap and the only thing that is good about your devices is the Camera you would always focus on camera huh? Well thats the thing, Samsung has never really made a camera eccentric device have they? They launch basically all around, and if you haven't seen reviews yet the Galaxy S II actually handles it own, in some photo reviews beating the N8, this is done with gsmarena's own picture review as well.

                                      3.
