Google announced that there’d be six new voices for Google Assistant.

Assistant is greyed out because it's not available for download in my native land. However, I've been able to continuously communicate with it in English in the past. How to open the Assistant? Double click only opens up the Feed.

Is this available outside US/Europe. I don't see this option visible under Assistant Preferences here in the middle east.

It's not working in the UK yet. I'm using a Pixel XL with Android P beta.

When Google learns the difference between Portuguese from Brazil and from Portugal we can then talk, as well some relevant updates to it, example most of Google translate for example is all PT-BR, a real struggle to get PT-PT.

All the voice assistants played a sample for me

instead of playing with new voices they could finally add support for more languages and fix those that are already there. As far as I know its not that expensive(well from company side for use, normal people such money would be big), and it would not only get new users(we talking here about millions of people) they could get more money from it because new users = new data to mine + new ways for paid advertising.

Anyone able to get them to work on English(India)?

Android is bad in talkback... Only ios has a good screen reader. Voiceover...

                      Female voices are best

Got it. The voices are well synthsized. And I love it! ^_^

Got it on my Pixel 2 XL, but not on my Galaxy S7 Edge. I think it's because I have the US English on my Pixel and UK on my S7. (UK)
