    It's mostly Xiaomi that does this to make their phones cheaper and now Asus has followed them.

          Hmm, by the look of these photos, the secondary camera will be a low MP count like 5MP for bokeh effect. I'll have to go back and look at the hands on video to verify...

Nobody is gonna pay 30-40k for an Asus phone when one plus 5t is 33k and samsung s8 is around 40-45k. Those who want iphone wont look in this range anyways...

Besides I'd rather have plastic top and bottom for antenna reception than full metal body... Besides who says plastic= cheap. You're a fan of Nokia, at least you shouldn't say that... Like lumia 730, 830 and 1520 were cheap right?

                          A decent looking phone with good dimensions for 1 handed use (despite the notch). At least no garish copper accents (7 plus), which I know many of you love. But I don't. Granted, the design is copy cat and I prefer non-glass back HMD Nokias. If they had only put SD 660 in Nokia 7 (non plus version) and sold it outside of China, that would have been my phone...

                            Anonymous, 10 May 2018The Chinese version of Nokia phones don't have Zeiss. So what if it even would. It's just a name the genius of making lenses is long dead. Now just do lenses of so small and add a brand name on it that automatically makes it worth more and somehow are more quality while Carl Zeiss do only optics and have nothing to do with the sensor that is behind the lens and matters more. Carl Zeiss is just a fancy brand name for lenses and that about it. Like a Nokia for there phones just a fancy old brand name to get bigger price cause these brands have already history and trust in there name.

                                Sounds really premium.

                                Guess why asus didn't launch the Zenfone 5 with the same SD 636 if you don't know what's premium quality look at Zenfone 5 no this cheap market specific phone.

                                  It has Metal build, Above average lcd display, loud mono speaker with dedicated amp and huge battery which lasts for 2 days.
                                  Nothing subpar as you have claimed.
                                  And no It isn't launched only in India.
                                  I know you have some sort of problem with India but atleast be sensible and don't put forth your opinion as facts.
