Since I don’t have any friends I have no use for a wide angle lense...

Each to their own i suppose.. I prefer the telezoom lens because it helps me catch those slides from an important presentation even if i am in back row.. A wide angle lens would have helped take better pics when we went on school trips, but my socila group has become tighter and smaller.. And with selfies still taking up the majority if social photos i take, i can confidently ignore the wide angle... Anyways if i truly wanted i could experiment with those snap on lens pieces

I use LG G6 and love wide-angle. But I would like to have the wide-angle without distortion probably Apple can try.

Panorama photo are not perfectly stitched.
You cannot do vertical panorama can you?

For stills 25 mm is OK, and if you are real estate agent you need sub 25 mm. Why video with phone - phone is in my pocket and camera at home (more then 50%)

Photographers cant live without 27-70 lens. We dont need sub 24mm generally. So telephoto is much more usefull for pros. But they should be using the same sensor. Not smaller sensor.

I use lg g6, the best camera i have used only due to its wide angle capabilities, I went to holiday to saint Petersburg Russia, i took approx 300 photos, and among that 250 photos were wide angle. When in some museum, where i cant go back and click photos and here wide angle is a bliss, I can see all the people going back to get all contents in a photo but people come in frame as u left so much space to people to walk by, where i was staring at those eyes, i went close where nobody cant go ahead of me and opened a wide angle and got far more content than most of could have imagined too, even useful in outdoors where u can go near the building and cut the people in frame and get a marvelous shot. Sky looks amazing in wide angle too, Before buying this even i thought so panaroma can do great things do, but no, clearly no. not even close and those people who are commenting this panorama are the people who haven't use wide angle. and thanks to google camera from xda i get to use fantastic portrait shots on lg g6 despite not having telephotos lens for depth deduction.
I am not leaving this phone for a long time, If something goes wrong like slow then I will keep 2 phones.

Personally my priority will be,
1. Low light capability.
2. Telephoto.
3. Wide angle (in second place for selfie cam)
Being able to take good pic after sundown without the need of shitloads of lamp is freakin blessing.
Able to zoom and still get good pic without trying to climb over things to get better distance is pretty damn nice.
Wide angle rear camp for group photo or scenery is nice but wide angle front is reallly nice.

Wide angle is the only LG feature I will miss after switching to Sony. It allowed for awesome photos. I wish more manufacturers embraced it.

Actually its a little less as we guess and recreate image thats moving(be it eye/object). Its about 7mp for focus area and 1mp for the rest, that is if image got variable pixel density and not to forget its only if you look in the same place as where is higher pixel density.
~576mp, as someone calculated, if you take that you want image to be sharp no matter where you focus in your fov, And its for 120x120degrees.
Human fov is about 210x150degrees, so it will be about 800mp.
Well I would be satisfied with 70mp per eye as certain VR screen finnish company is making(hw capabilities aside of course).

3x cameras with telephoto AND wide is where it is heading.
Hopefully Samsung tries to be proactive and adds it to the Note 9.
This feature would convince me to get the GN9... otherwise i'll probably wait 12 months.

I prefer the wide angle camera over that telephoto thing.
I think the software can be modified to imitate the capabilities of a telephoto camera but the wide angle can't.
