Both of back & front facing camera lenses are too hard to scratch .. While finger print was working properly after scratching test .. Even body pass easily bending tests .. Based on that comprehensive video, I do believe that SONY always care about function and use premium material

Heck, this phone is quality galore in every single way.
Certainly IMO the best device to come out this year.
Just that stupid, stupid, stupid decision to jack the jack. I just cant and will not get pass that...

... moreYour phone was heating up because of the bad processor - Snapdragon 810. Every manufacturer had problems with it, not only Sony. The only brand that wasn't very affected by it was Samsung which had it's Exynos version as well.
I'm still using a 2012 Xperia Z along with XZP and the quality build is amazing. I've dropped it so many times, I never used a bumper or a case and it's still in one piece. It's almost 6 years old and there's no lag, no software problems, no battery problems..
Sony has EXCELLENT quality build!
PS where are you located? Every manufacturer has different versions of the same model for different parts of the world.
Just stay away from asian and arab versions. Also, DON'T buy dual sim phones - they are the worst, no matter what brand it may be.

brandstifter, 11 May 2018Haha, tell that to the owners of 2013-2016 Xperia phones. ... morei was ever have xperia Z, Z1, Z3, Z5 XZ.. the onyl i have problem is on Z1 in their first batch that display get yellow.. and the rest im satisfied with sony product, even i had try samsung note 4 but not so good for me especially in my country which dont include snapdragon version.

Compared to some other flagships this one passed with shining numbers.

In India, they have not released xz2 (a missed opportunity though as it would have been the first device in India with snapdragon 845), they are charging 42000 INR ($625) for XZ1 and 56000 ($835) for XZ premium. When there are two flagships (Like the case of X performance and XZ, they would launch only one), maybe they would launch XZ2 premium in India and skip XZ2.

I had a Z1C and it was literally falling apart in my hands, I had to change so many parts that it became almost funny. I had a Z5C and it was a botched one: while Z5C was a hot phone in general, the botched units were almost unusable due to overheating, throttling and battery drain. At least I wasn't one of those who got blurry camera.
Sony literally had no quality control back then. As far as I know it's different now. Got an XZ2C last week and I'm loving it so far. But the story of Sony phones makes me wary: NXT series lacked battery life, Z series lacked quality, X-XZ1 lacked design, what will XZ2 series lack?
