The point here, with the pixel watch, is that if there is no advance in the SOC ther will be little incentive to buy a new watch.
We are still with the SD2100 and its limitations are obvious (battery, lag, GPS tracking...).

if they release a watch at the same time i wonder if we'll see a new issue with the phone on one day and then the watch the next. you know keep themselves in the limelight, and before anyone trys calling me an Apple fanboy i can't stand apple either i'm happy using my HTC M9 still.

Google trying its luck shooting in the sky with discrete array of devices! Thank God they got the Android OS correct! Their Nexus, Pixel, Wearable are becoming a joke.

They just charge the products premium but tossbig up within a year, keep changing their manufacturer, absolutely no after sales and services! This is not a software on the cloud model. Hardware requires human being serving the products which Google not comfortable with.

The leaks say that these watches will be based on the still to-be-announced Snapdragon 3100 which is still based on the 28nm process like 2100. I read that Qualcomm is coming up with another chip built from the "ground-up" for smartwatches during fall this year so watches would start coming out by Dec or so. Probably makes sense to wait for those.

Rumors are that there will be three pixel watches.

If only the Pixel 3 XL uses AMOLED from Samsung, not from LG's failing P-OLED panels.

great ! .. another hardware means more hardware bugs from google which they try to fix it using software ... lol !!
I am pretty sure it will start at $349 .. as they have been copying whatever apple does lately including the price tags

When would it be introduced? September? October?

And surely it would utilize Qualcomm's upcoming new Wear SoC

                          Eagerly waiting for Pixel XL

SohailSays, 10 May 2018Waiting for the leaks of Pixel 3 and XL. Ah, I am sure they... moreWould be funny if they use again oled screens from LG and that they are also used by Apple in their 2018 iphones. :p

following what other brands do (like sheep) Pixel 3 XL will be 7.4 inch massive "cutting board", with a notch, and battery from 2012 (3000 mAh)

Nowadays, everyone try to "invent" huge phone with notch, and small battery, and big number of cameras.

Waiting for the leaks of Pixel 3 and XL. Ah, I am sure they are again skipping 3.5 mm headphone jack.

                                Hey notch, welcome to google!
