The one+ 5T was great, however this one, looks like A MIX between Samsung S9 and iPhone X

..the notch is ubiquitous feature...everybody is asking for bigger screen in a small form factor so front cameras and sensors must be (so far) taking space from the display...there is no other way to place cameras and sensors with almost no space between the screen and the border....unless you don't like frontal cameras & sensors....

Glass back is more convenient imo, better than metal back which rusts after 3 months later. And don't get me started on glass breaks! Cases protect the beauty of this phone, not to show off and get mugged lol.
