Now, i have bees using ALL the OS out there, and i must say, this is a very smart move that comes from Microsoft. Android apps are available now for Blackberry, and that might improve the lifespan of Blackberry phones on market. If Microsoft decides to share all the apps for WP7 with Symbian, maybe this Nokia-Microsoft partnership is not just a nice dream. Though, we gotta think, even if Nokia is a giant, it will be hard to develop two main OSes, so one of them (symbian) will be left behind at some point.

Microsoft produce the OS, and Nokia produce the hardware and design and customize the OS a bit. Now we can expect a true smartphone dominate the market soon. Both brand with their originality and uniqueness.

It's good to see Nokia started a partnership with Microsoft, it will be more easy to connect a Nokia phone to a Windows PC and even without any additional software.....

Everyone that says that android is going to fade away needs to snap back to reality... and before you call me an android fanboy, I should tell you that I am using a symbian phone... You all need to be factual here... If you are a regular visitor of GSMarena, you must have read all the independent market reports, which clearly show that Android is gaining market share at a mind boggling speed whereas Symbian is still loosing it! But saying that either Symbian or Android will die is just plain stupid; they are both being backed by giants here... IMHO the key reason for Nokia's downfall was that it let companies like Samsung and SE beat it in terms of innovation (this is before iOS or Android) and now it's a little too late... Symbian will obviously not die, but it's very difficult for it to gain the same market share that it once commanded... Nokia, though, will bounce back from this, even if it takes it 10 years to do so...

Nokia as never been able to improve Symbian an as never really had any help to advance it further, but with deal for Windows with Microsoft they have someone at last to help them,an hope with Microsofts working with Symbian they will be able to make Windows phones abit like Symbian,Easy to Customize at thats one of the good points about symbian but Windows does not seem to be like that yet

The true strength of android is that android apps are free and there are thousands of many free-lance android developers releasing new apps everday.
Nokia, Microsoft, and Apple are trying to use money power and file false suits to derail Android, which is a truly liberated democratic OS. If they succeed, then next the will force common people to pay up for each app.
Apple sueing Samsung and HTC is really bad on part of apple. Its like saying Apple has made car which has round wheels, so the cars of samsung and HTC cannot have round wheels.

Both provide the original concept and free from sue things! i would like to see more innovation from them.
