Spec-wise the G7 is the perfect smartphone for me, but I have had so much unpleasant experience with their products.
THREE G3's (mine and my parents') end up with the screen and wifi malfunctioning, a G5 that fails to connect to any 4G network(even after an official repair, the guy fixed it said it is a 'thing' with G5), my mum's V20 was great at the beginning but it is now unacceptably laggy, my dad is with the G6 now and sometimes the facebook app and Whatsapp just would not respond at all or lag. The only reason my parents are still with LG is because of LG Backup, and I admitted, LG Backup is amazing.

FeederEater, 17 May 2018U seem to misunderstand something. Just because they are no... moreyep ... they are making some of the best value handsets around at the moment

lg v30 is under 500 pounds online for the 128gb model and it can be updated straight to oreo and comes with 100 pound headphones in the box

lg g7 is 590 pounds pre order and comes with the latest cpu and gpu combo if you fancy that instead

both these phones offer everything you cold want in terms of build , design , hardware and even software (tap to wake big shout out to you)

everyone that has owned a recent lg loves them , the only people moaning about them are people who havent owned one of their new devices and sit in their bedroom trashing them online instead of trying one ;-)

peachy001, 17 May 2018Quality is one factor. Availability is another. Ask HTC, or... moreno one ever shouts about lg in the uk .... but they should .... i sold my s8 and paid 600 pounds for the lgv30 from the carphone warehouse ... they have an exclusive on it in the uk but they arent even displaying it in windows or stores ... the store staff tried to get me to buuy an s8 instead of it or the latest iphone but i knew i wanted the wide angle camera and the best audio that only lg offers and that these sales reps should be pushing ... but nope i guess commission is more on the samsung s8

also worth noting my lg v30 has a measly 3300mah battery and a giant 6 inch screen ... i get 7 - 8 hours screen on time easily with no battery saving techniques ... i wouldnt worry about the battery life ... i am sure it will be fine ;-)

Sadly we probably won't see it in Australia, not with most carriers anyway. Most dropped LG over a year ago, LGs own Australian website is still advertising the G4 for $718 so shows they aren't interested in selling phones here.

best phone announced this year so far .... only 590 pounds pre order price

hifi quad dac and headphone jack - 2 very good cameras including wide angle camera - great video recording with decent mics - great build quality including full waterproofing - micro sd slot - latest cpu and gpu combo - selection of colours - project treble compatible - decent screen which is one of the brightest on the market - great speaker

it has to be the most reasonable priced real flagship in a long time with hardly anything missing from the spec list , great audio , great cameras , solid build , its literally got all the bases covered

i think the only other thing to say is .... good job lg ... good job

No pricing released for the phone yet and we're only ONE day away from release in Canada... that scares me a little. Why "give away" a TV but not release pricing for the phone?

SAMSUNG WORLD, 17 May 2018samsung is the best phones ever, lg has bootloop phonesOk. This Fanboy again is here. Could you please stop praising Crapsung? It has issues too, hello! And this isn't a Crapsung topic. Understand!?

G7 ThinQ is available for pre orders here though with free B&O earbuds when I went to a store, and I also used the V30 and taking pictures on the rear and go home after. Wide camera is pretty damn good!

Notch is Good, 17 May 2018Samsung is not bringing anything new either with s9. So why... moreOh sorry didn't I mention S9/+? Ok. Just only the camera. Other stuff, same.
OnePlus 6 has that glass design edition and new cameras. Other stuff, also the same.
                      iPhone X...
The biggest change of any smartphone of all time. (With many sacrifices)

When newly released LG phones go on sale .....two main things frustrate me the most. 1) The color options advertised aren't available to everyone and in every model. 2) AT&T is allowed (by LG presumably) to re-box the phone into an AT&T generic awful looking box. LG, can I buy the original box for this phone.....empty ? Great Job LG ! It's about time you used sound resonance !

RANDOMS, 17 May 2018the reason that a phone doen't sell means there is a clear ... moreNope. In LGs case it isnt the phone, its rather the LGs history that ruined the future sales. Nowadays, LGs phones dont sell well because of infamous bootloop (yep, even though the problem is solved, there are still people that keep trolling around on internet trying to keep people away from LG) and software updates. LG makes pretty good phones nowadays, but yeah, it still needs time to regain customer's trust and leave the shadow that was cast upon it from Samsung and Apple (and now many more).

The G6 and V30 were pretty much available on many stores, even if without an actual stall, but still the products are sold by third party sellers.
LG will only be popular if they step up their game and become a serious competitor.
I have to say still, the G7 ThinQ, with regards to previous LG phones, is a massive joke to all of us.

I wish you the best of luck for LG. Bootlooping was so 2015. Their phones never bootlooped ever since SD808/810 is obsolete with the SD820.

I wish this generic looking phone with Quad DAC capabilities would sell well and for those notch haters out there, you could just hide the notch or just go to America and buy a Postpaid Plan from AT&T to get the LG V35 ThinQ.

I don't know why, but LG is not bringing something new to their phones since LG G6. (What I mean is the software, not the outside or hardware itself)
Sure, there is a Notch, but I don't think people will likely to be happy with it. Wide camera is the best, but a minor step back.

Ask HTC, or ask Huawei for their US stats. If it is hard to buy, it is likely to sell less. That does not mean that LG phones don't have flaws, they do. Despite being feature rich (V30), they hobble them with some aspects, like low battery size, terrible front cameras, a very poor screen. The G7 and rumoured V35 battery sizes are literally an affront to consumers. Which is a shame, as I really like the G7. A 3500mA in there, and I would probably have bought it. That said, not seen many of the high street UK stores making a noise about it. They are clearly waiting for the V40.
