That's great news. I'm using the original Wave 1 and loving it. Looking forward to the update.

I have used wave II. I bought that with great expectations but I sold that in three months for half price.Android,IOS, & windows phone7 are far away..BADA will never reach there. The OS is frustrating.

you people asking if you can update your certain wave units to 2.0 should go get your eyes checked and then read the article again. It clearly says "ALL" bada phones but not all will recieve it in full due to hardware. So "ALL" will get it but most likely the later release versions wont recieve it in full.

Wave 525 users like myself will be relieved if this is not a rumor. bada is a good os yet i get a feeling that samsung supports only the higher waves. My only real gripes with wave 525 is the lack of a back button and limited apps. symbian, ios and android all have dedicated apps locations. we have to get apps through samsung apps instead of bada app. bada should have a straight link. heck, bada is not even on cnet download os lineup. like they do not take bada seriously as an os. makes me feel lost and forgotten.

Is it me or ever since the Google Motorola merger, news seem to indicate a lot of tension between manufacturers and Android. Bada, now Samsung announcing a Windows 8 tablet, Korean Minister announcing creating their own mobile OS, etc etc.

                          This is great news!
I'm a Wave 525 user and I was afraid that I would be stuck with bada 1.1
I do hope that the update would also fix a lot of issues
I also hope that not so many features would be axed out for wqvga devices
And more better games too!! :D

                                That's good news.

Been putting off plans of getting myself an android phone.

Wanted to see bada 2.0 on my Wave first (official release) before I decide.

Hope Samsung fixed the limited message inbox capacity though.

Samsung and Google have increasing tension. This move is Samsung's defensive plan.

Article in BGR says that Google internal document indicates Google intends a move towards less openness, and to favour Motorola.

                                        Full article in BGR.
