WARNING. Don't buy any LG mobile phone if you are South Africa, or any third world country. LG doesn't support customers there. My LG V30+ is still running 7.1.2 and LG South Africa is saying they don't have the Android 8 update.

G7 is my personal preference over the S9 despite the notch. LG phones are very solid and well build, good quality.

Depends on your carrier. AT&T isn't going to carry the LG G7. Oneplus 6 won't work on Sprint and Verizon.

Samsung Galaxy S9 ... moreAre u some kind of doomsday conspiracy foreteller like David Meade telling that the end of the world is near umpteen times but those days when the world should have ended turn out to be a normal day? U sound like him but predicting when some brands will die, really? Like it or not, brands are here to stay. People said Sony will die a few years back, but they are still here. People said LG will die too a few years back, they are still here. This kind of hatred applies to some other brands. Yeah, maybe LG is probably in the midst of having no profits, but it doesn't mean they suck totally though. They still offer solid high-end flagships, it is just that they are a little screwed up recently because they made so many somewhat the same LG V30s and made the LG V30 ThinQ which have little improvements over them. Sony have been earning profits already, they aren't falling anymore, but the profit jump year over year is a little less. I don't the reason why u should hate on both of them like as if they are irrelevant because their smartphones are still competitive to the big players, well maybe not for one part of LG's because their LG Q series is crap as compared to other brands regarding to the price to performance

Probably the only new smartphone thats capable of capturing extreme loud sound with a little to none distortion. Include jack and 4dac, bass repro. Its a hero of phone in audio field.

The only thing which I hate about LG G7 ThinQ is its UI. Always hated these custom skins. I wish it had come with Stock Android. I would have bought it because it seems like a pretty good device. Best one from LG till now.

It's a pet project for these large companies, their mobile divisions aren't going anywhere. They exist so that the company can showcase an entire line of products.

Mere 70,000 pre-orders in Korean market? Samsung Galaxy S9 got about 400,000 pre-orders in Korean market two months ago. 70k is about 1/6 of Galaxy first-day orders. Good figure for current LG, but it is quite disappointing number for LG fans. The G7 has bit expensive price tag in Korea, not far from high price of Galaxy S9.
Now LG phone business is on the train of 12 consecutive quarters of massive loss (3 full years) I guess that LG will fail to turn profitable balance in this quarter, so 13-th quarter in loss. Even multinational corporate like LG can not continue such a massive hemorrhage for extended period over 3 years. I foretell that LG and Sony will close their smartphone business within 2 years or so.
