Google Duo update brings screen sharing, but it doesn't work yet

The receiver either gets to see is a frozen image of the sender's screen, or encounters a gray frame instead.

Why google don't just add native video calling in android as a default?
That's why some people like me prefer non stock-ish phone.

I know Error-testing isn't easy, and that glitches can/will slip through... But seriously???? How does something like 'the major feature of what you're releasing is actually not working' slip through??!!!
