In other sense, opportunity and vivo can be found pretty much everywhere (except for NA), even local retailer is hard pushing this phone, I dunno how much commission they get per unit sold

8man, 23 May 2018Yes, it was for the sake of having a civilized debate. I di... moreI was not referring to Googles phones. I was referring to stock Android on any phone be it Nokia, Moto or Pixel. All have bloatware and therefore not up to their full potential.
If its a bloatware phone you want, better get a custom UI ROM like that of Sony.
In case of LG, I didn't claim them to be bloatware free because even Pixel isn't bloatware free. I said they come with more features and gave split screen multi tasking as an example.
And the reason we don't have any reasonable alternative is because people on the internet and other media keep going around crying bloatware every time they see non stock android and sing the praises of stock supposedly non bloated android.
If customers beg for garbage, Google will be more than happy to give it to them.
To be fair, Google finalizes the software, they can put whatever they want, but we should be able to remove it, not just disable it.

I didn't even disagree, I'm not a great fan of them either, it's just that we don't have a reasonable alternative yet. You probably should have mentioned you were referring exclusively to google phones, which I haven't used in ages anyway. And I actually like Sony's iteration, been using sony phones for the past generations (and will probably get another one until someone else does a side power button with fp), but that's pretty much a stock android with minor differences. Either way, not enough to call it innovation, and I wouldn't say LG is one of the better ones when it comes to being free of bloatware either.

Sure Sony has Gapps (everyone does except Amazon) but thats not the point.
the point is that Sony (like LG and BB) add useful features which Google only adds years later.
Therefore, Sony and BBs modified UIs are better than stock ROM

Gapps are bloatware, 23 May 2018A phone without googles garbage will be much faster than on... moreThe only alternatives that do not have it or where you can opt out are iOS and Samsung phones. Sure, iOS is better, but its supposed encryption/protection is still under debate. Objectively there isn't really any smartphone that is free of tracking/monitoring, that's just a fact (mostly because of government regulations). But the main idea is that not everyone can afford an iphone X, as good as it may be. Your infantile assumption that we're all android fanboys falls kinda' short upon this argument, as for most of us it's got nothing to do with being a huge fan, but rather not wanting or being able to spend that much on a phone. And Samsung's Bixby isn't better either, it's just an alternative that does mostly the same thing. Of course, S9 is probably among the best in the overall picture, but we're talking about built-in services. Not sure if you've used a Sony, but all of them feature Google's services, there is no way to get rid of them. And they use a pretty close to stock android that doesn't have much bloatware, or, at least, not enough to warrant it lagging shortly after purchase. And most of those features that you mention on custom UI's aren't optimized at large-scale (obviously because of budget-restrictions), so that's kinda' debatable as well. Why is it that everyone in this community can't accept someone having a different opinion, and immediately labels instead?

8man, 23 May 2018That's complete bs, and there are benchmarks to provide tha... moreA phone without googles garbage will be much faster than one with it.
Also Google is a couple of years behind in features than companies like LG and Sony, and 5 years behind Blackberry.
Blackberry failed as a hardware maker but there is no doubt their version of Android is better than the garbage that is plain android. Features that enhance security, multitasking and battery efficiency are way better in custom UIs of the above mentioned companies than in plain boring android.
When LG bought split screen, its bloatware now everyone has it so its a must.
Just one example of plain boring android fanboyism

Gapps are bloatware, 23 May 2018Stock android is pointless, because Gapps are bloatware too. That's complete bs, and there are benchmarks to provide that info. Stock android just runs way better in the long run and a lot of us don't need any fancy garbage in the UI. Google isn't really intrusive, nor does it have many annoying apps. Stock android launchers are by far a smoother experience, whether you want to be in denial or not.

The ph... moreAgreed. With plain boring android, Nokia's feature set is inferior to those Doggee Leagoo garbage being sold online and it still doesnt solve the problem of Android bloatware since you still have Googles unused and inferior apps on your phone.
I have yet to see any one use those play music and book apps or even duo. People use Chrome but just because its there otherwise Firefox is better.

Blasted flashsales. I'm talking about Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (SD636) and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 which are very excellent in terms of value-for-money, but they seem too good to be true since they are nearly impossible to buy.
