(although I am on the small phones camp) the Mi max series's key selling point IS the fact you're carring a gurgantuan sized screen. else why would you even buy that thing? many people. especially since 2015 consider 5.5inches as still too small. (And I'm talking 16:9 ratio) so how as an analyst in a company you can approach these people? invent something that'll make them go "Holy shiz! I want that thing! it's so big and comfy!"

Its good to h... moreActually. to retain the current 6.44inch display. width would have to stay 86mm atleast (edge-to-edge horizontally) but vertically the lowest it can shrink is about 164mm. this way it'll be like a MEGA Meizu 15 plus. but in 6.44inchs.
          math. my friend. your dimensions would cause the screen to shrink to about 6.1

            Mi max always have redmi note hardware and camera setup which is not a bad thing. Big bettery with quick charge . I hope this time they provide multi colour led notification light,not the white one like last time.
            And dont provide wireless chargeing gimmick,its not increase the price of phone.a budget buyers don't use expensive gimmick like this.

              Mi Max is a great option for a big-sized screen. It would be great to see it in more markets.

                Well at least it will come, been waiting for this phone for a while. Maybe it should be called the Mi Mix Humongous. I can use it as mini tablet to replace my Galaxy Mega 6.3 of old.

                    VIVO X20 +UD and OPPO R11s + are great examples of 6.45" display phs with good low bezels!

                      Been using the Max 2 since release last year. Its good to have a 6.45" display, but at: 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6 mm its feels oversized. If they would trim bezels down to about 160 x 80 x 8 mm while retaining display size, it would be great,,!

                        I would buy this if it had LTE support in the U.S. Missed opportunity for no SD 660 tho.

                                  1920x1200 is what now ? Good size to use in toilet to read something while doing it.

                                        Max series is infamous for its humongous batteries with very respectable efficiency and performance.
                                        Xiaomi loves SD636 until now. This is no joke Xiaomi. Move on to a newer SoC! XD
