HMD raised money so that it can expand its portfolio of Nokia phones as soon as this year.

Their devices are then assembled by Foxconn in various countries, the same way Apple, Google, Microsoft and Sony outsource the production of their devices.

Tell me what sets HMD apart from the likes of Google or Sony in how they're set up Actually, don't "tell" me, bring evidence - show me.

    . Look at their design team and who is heading them.. Mostly ex nokians

    Nokia 8 was all about scandinavian design

    Otherwise you wouldn't get .built like a tank/most durable phone of the year
    devices like Nokia 6 , Nokia 5 etc..
    And most stylish/premium distinct design in Nokia 8 sirocco ( only talking about design).. Read reviews first and see how their build and design is praised

      Ginko Ventures is from Switzerland, and the founder used to be a part of Nokia Corporation as well. HMD Global is Finnish, and even has the Nokia Technologies president on the board of directors.

      All the trolls in here pretending otherwise are getting a bit old.

                    We want Nokia to use Top Premium chips instead of the weaker ones they are using,so they can really compete with Apple and Samsung,Why no Snapdragon 845 chip phones from Nokia yet?so they are just competiting in the Budget market phones now,so no challenge from Nokia yet? Why?

                        How about updating the phones you already have to 8.1 and latest security patch ?
                        Seems Nokia's way of dealing with problems is to ignore them and just make some more handsets
