Every other phone of theirs has a moniker like Note, Max, Mix etc so skipping a number isn't important but the Mi is simply Mi X.

                samsung skipping no 6, then the phone blows. i wonder what happen when xiaomi skip no 7. maybe they afraid same thing happen on samsung note 7 or just cant wait for chinese lucky no 8.
